    Welcome Guest!

What would you say to this?

MDMA has been very therapeutic for myself. As somebody who has always been very emotionally blocked, being able to open up and feel a deep sense of connection with people has changed me so that I'm now better able to feel a deeper connection with other people when I'm not on MDMA. There have been times where my heart just seemed to open up and I felt such compassion for another person that my eyes started to tear up, and I'm just overall a more loving person.

So some people will benefited, others may not. But I know that for me MDMA and psychedelics both have permanently changed me for the better.

I can understand how some people may find their life more boring when comparing it to the times that they are high. This isn't the drugs fault. If the substance is looked at as something that provides something that can't be experienced any other way, then problems are more likely to arise. Who wouldn't feel depressed if they did a bunch of MDMA thinking that they could never feel like this again? If it's understood that the substance is just a catalyst to experience something that is already there, and we do the necessary work that it takes to get closer to it without using the drug, then the outcome is completely different.

I like to think of taking M as a nice weekend getaway. Like, my parents like to go out every once in a while, kind of like a mini vacation. They just take a weekend and go somewhere nice. They have a great time and they come back happy and pleased with their weekend. Their weekend away isn't "reality" either. They don't have to worry about work, school, kids, etc. That's how I feel my time on M is. It is something to kind of get away from reality, just like going on vacation, or going out to a club drinking with friends, or just spending time with friends and family.

People who have never tried it just don't understand. I try to explain to some people and they won't listen to me. People who have even just tried some sort of drug are just so much more easygoing. None of my friends who I have told so far actually accept the fact that I have done M and I enjoy it. It is such a shame!!

That's one of the biggest misconceptions of MDMA--that it makes regular life look dull and miserable by comparison, that you'll never be as happy as you are on E, etc. I'm even guilty of buying into this one until I tried it myself and found it to be complete bull.

MDMA is only one of many types of euphoria humans are capable of experiencing. Other drugs like opiates, hallucinogens, stimulants and weed each have their own unique effects that are just as valuable as the MDMA experience. Non-drug experiences like love (in all its manifestations), professional accomplishment, the birth of a child, vigorous exercise and simple things like watching the sun rise are also equally euphoric, just in a different way. If you take drugs to escape depression or boredom, of course you'll feel like shit when the high wears off. But not everyone who uses drugs uses them that way. I actually find hallucinogen/MDMA users to be more stable and well-balanced than other drug users, though there are always exceptions.

No amount of arguing is going to change the minds of these closed-minded, brainwashed fools, so it's best not to waste your breath. It's hard to argue with facts, so hit them with the latest research (not govt. funded of course) and see what they have to say.
