What would you say is the earliest age someone can consider using steroids?

What is the minimum age in your opinion and why?

consider? or consider while doing it safely so you don't wreck your developing/complex hormone system? Safe age is 25 as that is when a male's hpta system is fully developed so they won't do some crap that will stunt their developing system. Others may say younger. But 18-19 is way to young.

until the age of 21, 22 you are still producing a lot of test, hormones etc... so you can keep on growing, so i would say, and have to agree with Titus...25 is a good age,any thing before that you will, stop your natural development....ya you might think
its nothing now, but later in life you will regret it, if you do it before 25....

I used when I was half way through being 22 and twice as 23. Fucked for life? Probably not but I noticed my total test was rather low four months after using. :\ Could be other factors though. (Two surgeries, restricted training, eating, relocating)

Most people here say 21. 25 if you're prude.

I agree my advice of 25 is very conservative. I also realize that every 18yo wants to look like (fill in the blank for some ripped dude who gets every chick he wants) and that 18 yo's make mistakes that 18yo's make. Maturity and delayed grantifcation are not the strong points of a typical 18yo male.

IMO the typical 18yo male considering using steroids who hears that 21 is the right age to start reads that to mean "21 is the right age to start for OTHER guys, I'm the exception and nothing bad at all will happen to me, etc, whatever........"

I am sure you have heard this a million times before but its honestly true, anyone who is 16-low 20s has enough testosterone to gain plenty of muscle just from simply eating and training right. I honestly wouldn't consider it till 25 and thats bare minimum. I know its extremely tempting especially to those young ones who want to be the biggest baddest motherfucker out there and get all the ladies but don't want to have wait as long to see the kind of results you get from aas naturally.

Testosterone levels actually peak at a much older age than 25. Actually around 40.

I believe the 25 myth has to do more with the fact that most people's bodies are not done growing until 25, therefore it may have to be more about GH levels if anything. As well as increased estrogen levels post-cycle closing off growth plates.

To be honest and real, in my opinion staying away from AAS has more to do with the fact that it is a drug-dependence in relation to working out. Nobody wants to see an 18 year old that needs steroids to work out. I've trained with them and well, it's depressing.

If that 18 year old wants to continue with an athletic career, then the person will most likely continue to use performance enhancing drugs for years, possibly up until he or she is in their 30s or 40s. Having prolonged exposure to exogenous hormones and drugs can do quite a bit of damage to the entire body especially after 20+ years.

They're definitely going to be dealing with blood pressure issues starting fairly young.

I started when I was 19. I'm very tall, and thin. My problem with muscle development has not been hormones, but diet. I ate like shit while I was developing, so it has made me more tall and lanky that I feel I would have otherwise been. The only thing that sort of salvaged this was lifting weights from 21-25, so I was able to maximize muscle and bone density before my growth stopped. But I feel it wasn't enough.

If anything, the major hormone related thing that has been fucked up is my serotonin system. I've quit all drugs and now I'm faced with the reality of what I've done to my own brain over the years. My mood is vastly unstable.

mood being unstable could be your dopamine system fucked up lol not jsut seratonin when i quit doing stims (speed, coke) i found that taking htp-5 (natural otc antidepressant + ltyrosine (dopamine help otc) helps alot lol norm it would tkae me a year to get back to normal after 1-2monthes i feel like binging again :)

I don't believe serotonin is something you can permanently fuck up. Dopamine on the other hand, there is plenty of evidence you can, however there's no conclusive evidence that anything is permanent. Unless you were binging on meth for years with very little food, water or sleep, I highly doubt you did any real damage. It's probably all in your head.

I think 18-19 is ok,but young but I'd say 24,25 is more norm from my own experience...I'm 40 now and I'm SURE I've messed up my T/E levels if I chose to end ASS forever....my 2cents
