Before you go in, address that you have a fear of the operation and ask if you're going to be in a lot of pain. See what happens, play by ear. Afterwards if they decide to prescribe you a painkiller, it will most likely be Ty w/ codeine. Say you're allergic to codeine as to get something better. If they don't prescribe anything, bitch a lot about how it hurts. If they tell you just to take ibuprofen, call them the next day saying you're in severe pain and the OTC shit isn't working. What would i be able to get from a route canal and how should i do this? Would they first gimme tylonel 2 then i would have to go home and call them up to say it still hurts or what?
I actually got the idea for this by knowing people who legitimately were allergic to codeine. They weren't druggies. One was prescribed Vicodin, the other Percocet. Neither had a problem with either of those drugs as far as rashes, flushed faces, more than normal itching.. other than both of them said the alternatives were too strong.. lol.You can be allergic to only codeine. I see this in my office all the time. The red flags go up, and you get a nice little smiley sticker on your chart letting everyone in the office know you're one of "those guys". Don't use this approach
