Opioids What to do trying to find new pain management doctor while on 240 mme morphine and fentanyl

Doctor says I should try methadone because I met 240 mme between morphine and Fentanyl and my pain is still significant he doesn't know how much extra morphine I've been taking on top of that. And no I don't believe I'm an addict I don't get high I don't get euphoria I just don't hurt so bad but I still hurt like a goddamn motherfucker. What do you guys think about what the doctor has to say? I'm in Houston Texas and what will my insurance do? I'm afraid of getting labeled and addict and substance abuse patient and I'm worried about whether I'll be able to go back if methadone doesn't work for me. Also how good is methadone really for pain? What about breakthrough pain while on it? I heard it's not good at all for breakthrough pain. Also what about getting switched over in the hospital? I'd much rather be switched over while in the hospital then at home on my own. Especially if it doesn't work. I remember getting put on BellBuca against my will and it didn't help at all so I went and got the prescription filled for hydrocodone that I had from another doctor that I had trouble getting filled and that end up making the doctor dismissed me from his practice. I'm on 50 micrograms fentanyl patch every 72 hours at least I think it's micrograms MCG I think lowercase though. And 120 mg instant release morphine which is 30 mg* 4 times a day

EDIT: I'm also a bitch with mood issues. I used to smoke pot. Made me easier to deal with. My dad was the same way. Anyway i can jump back on the cannabis wagon while still getting meds for my chronic pain. Haven't smoked pot in 15 years
