So when i work i like to keep my xanax with me. I just drive around all day that's basically my job. Anyway - I usually keep them in a little side compartment thing on my drivers side door and as i was coming home i grabbed the bottle and when i put it in my pocket the lid popped off and the entire container of over 90+ pills spilled all over the side of my seat in between the rails of the seat, in between the seat and the door, and in other spots that i can't reach.

I found as much as i could and i used a flashlight and couldn't see any more but i counted them and im exactly 10 pills short (so just over 3 days worth).

Do i just keep looking and get tweezers and try to get the ones that are impossible to pick up or what??

I don't mean to be a dick, but what does this have to do with reducing the harm associated with consuming recreational substances? It's not like we can come over and take your car apart for you!

As far as alternatives go, physicians attitudes regarding such vary. Typically most doctors will refill early or supplement a prescription one time because this stuff legitimately happens to people who aren't just trying to score from their physicians but usually it's a matter of pills being stolen and then the doctor will want a police report. Since your pills weren't stolen and you have absolutely no evidence to present to your doctor and presumably you're young and a pothead given your name, it will likely look suspicious if you say "hey, 10 pills fell in my car seats, can you hook me up with some more?"

If you want your doctor to trust you and be willing to work with you, the least you can do is be careful with your medicine and not put yourself in situations where this is possible. I used to take a lot of medications for chronic pain and so I kept the updated pill bottle labels in my wallet and 1 days worth in a small case in my pocket... worst case, I lost 1 day's worth and I wouldn't even need to consult my physician and the rest were stored safely in areas where I didn't have to worry about them being stolen falling into crevices in an automobile.

If you do try to retrieve the ones you haven't yet found, keep in mind if they sit in a hot car, they may lose some potency. You may want to get a friend or relative who is handy and understanding to help you remove your seats and such so you can look in areas you can't presently access.

If you don't retrieve the lost pills, you may want to keep a copy of the prescription in your car in case it's ever search so you can document that you have a prescription. Most larger pharmacies print out labels alongside the monograms (little pamphlet with warnings and basic info) so if you discarded this you can still ask your pharmacist to print out another copy.

This will probably be closed or moved (although I don't know where it could go) but I'll leave that up to the BDD staff to decide. Good luck!

Am going to close this - cane said it all really.

Everyone makes mistakes. If you haven't asked for more pills before and are honest with your doctor (and promise to be more careful in the future - as cane said, it is really important to be careful with where you store your pills etc) hopefully they will be understanding and give you a one off extra prescription. Alternatively, as you said, keep hunting!

Not sure there is anything else anyone can add so going to close it but send me a pm if you feel differently :) good luck!
