what to do for a stoner in Chicago

I thought about makin a post askin people what they think would be good ideas for a stoner in Chicago to do, as i am on a week long vacation there right now, but i didnt wanna make the post cuz i figured it would get closed but after seein the guy make the post about goin to San Fran i figured i'd ask

if anyone has any suggestions as to good shit to do. i am with family and have so far had a good time but have only done typical tourists stuff. it is easy to go and do my own thing but i havent really done much by myself besides go for long walks around the city checkin shit out
i fell asleep yesterday doin one of those chicago river boat tours

i am off lake shore dr. right on lake mich near the beach so if anyone has any ideas as to kool stuff to do that is either within a couple miles or atleast an easy bus route to get to i'd appreciate the advice
 
To Ason: i brought plenty of sweet island skunk, im not lookin for weed im lookin for decent shit to do particularly by myself stoned or maybe with family but i gotta be stoned but i planned ahead im not lookin to score.

Been walkin along the lake the last couple days goin down to the beaches. went to the aquarium today b/c the people i am visitin are members but ill have to ask about the planetarium but i remember goin the last time i was here about 7 years ago so unfortunatly all i remember is the fact that i went so ill def check that out


also yes i know chicago has lots of crime and have taken that into account every night when i go for my midnight stroll but anyways im in a nice area right now but i have been goin for couple mile walks n i asked where not to go so, but ill still be careful but i am from DFW and both big cities n all the surrounding area has its share of crime n i go to Dallas alot so im no stranger to walkin the streets at night but no these arent my streets and yes chicago is bigger and unfamilar

any ways thanks to any with any input

Completely irrelevant to the thread, but that's a shitload of "but"s. I take it you were completely fucking stoned when you typed all that up.=D
 
you know it man always, ;) i had just ripped 20mgs of oxy then went up onto the roof for a few bowls =D

yea my grammer on this website is shit, i assue you when i have essay n stuff to write they are well thought out and well written. Essays usually involve adderall which = :( i fuckin hate taken my adderall, but it has to be done every now n then :!
 
I second the art institute. It is free after I think 5PM in the summer and stays open until 9PM.
 
Go the the north ave beach and party on the weekend. Make sure you drink your alcohol out fo cups though. There is no drinking on the beach but if you drink out of cups they really never do anything. Also navy pier is fun, put is usually pretty expensive.

I've never been there other than for layovers at O'hare, but I have friends who went there not too long ago and said there's a great bar scene. Open late too. That's what I'd do personally, but I happen to be a total barfly.
 
i am not a fan of just goin out n gettin hammered, i like to drink but wont be doin a lot of it b/c i brought some OC n benzos as well as weed

FM: yea i have gone to Oak street beach and the biggest beach, the one north of oak street beach. i assume that is north ave. beach? is this one the best cuz it is the biggest?

yea i am havin a good time i went to Navy pier today n did that along with just gettin back from a comedy show tonight, it was good. not sure what on the agenda for tommorrow but im sure it'll be good.

just put some oxy up the nose n i am about to go out for what has become my nightly midnight stroll. have a good one to all those who provided input
 
Yeah north ave is just north of the Oak Street Beach. Its better because it has castaways, the big restaurant on the boat in the sand. Its got more volleyball nets, its a lot bigger, and usually brings in a younger crowd. A lot of families and stuff go to the oak street beach.

yea im sad FM, my vacation is coming to an end here in a day or two. ill be back in the D where i actually just got fired, well i was allowed to resign but if i didnt resign i was gonna be forced out (fired) so ill be on the job hunt when i get back. i fuckin hate searchin for new jobs cuz i gotta qualify myself to others and i absolutly hate doing that. well anyways thanks to all who provided input.
 
I'm in Chicago all the time, seriously one of the best summer cities in the world. Great Bar scene, great restaurants and the White Sox play there.

As for shit to do, the restaurants are great, two baseball teams playing (Sox are at home against Baltimore), plenty of awesome museums, concerts, stores etc.

Honestly, sometimes just chilling at a side walk cafe or bar and people watching is my favorite thing to do in Chicago. Get on the el and go to some different neighborhoods. Chicago and the area is a huge mesh of cultures, we are right in the middle of the country. The city is full of history.
 
Well i was there for a week n i had a blast. thanks to all who helped me out, i wish i could stay for the rest of the summer.
im gonna try n list some of the stuff i did for any who might be interested
1. North Ave and oak Street beach (while at N st. beach the aroma of weed was plentiful at times)
2. Shedd Aquarium
3. second city comedy club
4. lots of resturuants harry carry, tuffanos, 3rd *something with a C* (forgot name), original pancake house, n others
5. Architectural boat tour
6. lots of walking, im so fuckin outa shape
7. people watchin
8. Navy pier
9. chinatown n the italian nieghborhoods
10. millenium park, lincoln park


lots of shit n it made my vacation go by too fast, lots of tourist type stuff but it was def good and relaxing.

i brought weed so i never tried to get any but while at the beaches i tried to get oxy on a few occasions and was unsuccesful, i also asked some of the people who worked at the apt's i was at but was unsuccesful.
