christine's tune - gram parsons and the fbb. check out his suit, poppies and pot leaves. thats how he lived, with no apologies. i'm on a big country kick lately, strictly old school.

Brand New - Jesus Christ

"Do you believe you're missing out?
That everything good is happening somewhere else?
Well, with nobody in your bed
The night's hard to get through.
And I will die all alone
And when I arrive I won't know anyone."

Well, it's been one of those weeks where you regress to listening to bands that made you cry in high school. Blech.

oh my god

HerrSchnaufer has no idea how profound and epic this suggestion turned out for me...!

it is very frustrating now though, because i must experience this in person, and with the proper company. Much to do!

Arnold Schönberg - Gurrelieder "Der Hahn erhebt den Kopf"

@3:15+
just the fricatives of the choir section alone here(little whispering sounds) is just amazing, and there is some big fucking sound here.

Gurre-Lieder
^Wikipedia entry on the canata^

i have always been a classical lover, but usually i gravitate towards quartets, solo or duet compositions - opera is something that can seem totally unappealing, or be all i want to hear, some choir stuff i find hard to beat or compare to anything.
being at a performance of this -considering where and what company is performing it- is a set-in-stone goal for me, now.

:-z
ill try and get an extra ticket that day-heheh
;-)

Here is a 'play-list' of it.

another section selection -
seems this shit is going to take a while to soak in.

- "Tauben von Gurre!"
listening through completely again, and this one usually especially grabs me doing so; listening on its own it doesnt have the exact -stop what youre doing and be stunned- affect but is also - Brilliance.

damn, always check your connections, eh?!?
added the wrong link originally, now its "Tauben von Gurre!"...

Layla by Eric Clapton, I can feel that passion/desperation/energy in that song and I feel somewhat like that song... there was a girl who I was really close to who I thought I was in love with and she just bought a house with her boyfriend..
anyway, I can really relate to that song at this point in my life.
