The Swans are a fucking one-of-a-kinder. I think I like your taste.

Television - Carried Away ....so pretty.

EDIT: also, The Saints - Erotic Neurotic (live, 1977) fucking blitzing quality for year zero. Made my Saturday night. Bless you Aussies for being on par w/ America at this time in terms of brutal shredder anti-rock.

EDIT: Had to do another b/c my itunes seems to be paying homage to blistering Aussie punk (not to mention it played some Dead Can Dance earlier): The Eastern Dark - Julie Is A Junkie. I guess that little playtime is over - it went to Brian Eno now. All heil our rocker friends in the South Pacific though - did a good job of making Eno sound pretty lame by juxtaposition, which says a lot.

EDIT: Okay, I gotta stop, but itunes just reminded me of how amazing these guys are. They are from Atlanta, but I met em at the best Rock and Roll/Punk bar in my city: Gentleman Jesse & His Men - I Get So Excited

Joy Division - 24 Hours

So this is permanent, love's shattered pride.
What once was innocence, turned on its side.
A cloud hangs over me, marks every move,
Deep in the memory, of what once was love.

Oh how I realized how I wanted time,
Put into perspective, tried so hard to find,
Just for one moment, thought I'd found my way.
Destiny unfolded, I watched it slip away.

Excessive flash points, beyond all reach,
Solitary demands for all I'd like to keep.
Let's take a ride out, see what we can find,
A valueless collection of hopes and past desires.

I never realized the lengths I'd have to go,
All the darkest corners of a sense I didn't know.
Just for one moment, I heard somebody call,
Looked beyond the day in hand, there's nothing there at all.

Now that I've realized how it's all gone wrong,
Gotta find some therapy, this treatment takes too long.
Deep in the heart of where sympathy held sway,
Gotta find my destiny, before it gets too late.

Nice :)

Richard Cheese - Closer (NIN Lounge Cover)

I'm so glad I have stumbled upon this site recently. Been really feeling the effects of my lifestyle lately.

These songs sum up my mood of late:
Peeping Tom (acoustic version) - Placebo
Talk Show Host - Radiohead
Never Get Out of These Blues Alive - John Lee Hooker
Rodriguez - Sugar Man
Clint Eastwood - The Gorillaz
Stay Positive - The Streets
My World - Noisia
Riders on the Storm - The Doors

I'd fly to see him too. I've played his stuff to so many people expecting them to really dig it, and they've hated it! Baffles me. If you can make jazz/cabaret versions of alt or hip hop tracks that i dig, you are a genius tripper who I must see in concert! Mad props to 'ol Dick Cheese.
