Joy Division - Isolation

In fear every day, every evening,
He calls her aloud from above,
Carefully watched for a reason,
Painstaking devotion and love,
Surrendered to self preservation,
From others who care for themselves.
A blindness that touches perfection,
But hurts just like anything else.

Isolation, isolation, isolation.

Mother I tried please believe me,
I'm doing the best that I can.
I'm ashamed of the things I've been put through,
I'm ashamed of the person I am.

Isolation, isolation, isolation.

But if you could just see the beauty,
These things I could never describe,
These pleasures a wayward distraction,
This is my one lucky prize.

Isolation, isolation, isolation, isolation, isolation.

Codeine - D

D for effort
D for intent
D because you pay the rent

D for love
D for insight
D because you're heaven sent

I want you to need me - not to feed me
I want you to need me - not to feed me

D for dishes
F for floors
Can't make the grade anymore

D for love
D for intent
D because you pay the rent

You kick my head
Lying on your ten - your ten foot bed
You say you're all alone, that's just 'cause, you don't
want anybody home
See a smile, make it sad
You take it all so bad.

this song really spoke to my soul last night, this entire album i would recommend to anyone who is fascinated by childlike experience and perception of the world and music, currently a lot less cynical about life than i was 24 hours ago, its very miyazaki esque and idealistic i guess in a sense, but im just loving the warmth from it
