What should be done?!? IV was missed!!!

If missed the vein when trying to IV diphenhydramine what should be done? Will the swelling go down on its own? I know doctors will sometimes IM diphenhydramine so thinking, hoping, that it will go away after a day or two

I used to watch my friends miss veins slamming coke and dope, so I think you'll be just fine even though I heard it fucking HURTS like a bitch. Watch it. If the swelling gets worse you could be looking at infection and that is nothing to fuck with. So , MEASURE it...and make sure it's reducing in size...if its enlarging within a couple days, seek help.
