2C-E completely fucked my sense of time. I didn't know what time it was, and I didn't really care. It just seemed like forever that I was lost in my own mind.
Yea, me too. I call it "involuted fractal thought loops."
I would be contemplating something, then that would lead to a thought branching off related to the first, then another new sub-thought inspired by thought #2, and so on. Many many sub-branches and side-roads were taken, too many to count.
Down the rabbit hole. Curiouser and curiouser. In for a penny in for a pound. One thing leads to another....
I know this is typical of many psychedelics, but the amazing and I think pretty unique thing with the 2C-E effect is that my mind did not just leave the earlier thoughts behind. When I was done thinking about the deepest one, the whole thing unwound in reverse... I returned to each previous thought and finished thinking it, then to the one before that, etc. Perhaps I went down other side branches then back again (not totally sure about the sequence.)
When I finally got back to and finished the original thought that started the chain, I could have sworn hours had gone by with me lost in thought.
Opened my eyes and looked over at the clock: HOLY FUCK, only about 5 minutes
A really interesting way to make the most out of your mental CPU time!
