My friend was messing around with 2g of cocaine and was trying to solidify the powder.
He added some 70% rubbing alcohol and then pressed it, put it in the microwave for a few seconds until it heated up, pressed it again and finally put it in the freezer.
After some time when it was hard he took it out, let it air dry a bit and now he has these hard rocks of cocaine.
It tastes like cocaine, the smell is kinda less and he's confused on what he has made. When putting a hard rock of cocaine in a water bottle it didn't dissolve but kind of became pasty/wet (not sure how to explain) inside the water and broke up in smaller pieces.
He is thinking that he accidentally made crack and is not sure if what he has is still cocaine and safe to use.
Thanks in advance.

That's not how you solidify a powder ingredient. You add a pill binder to the powder, mix thoroughly and add 15KN pressure using a pill press. What comes out of the press is a raw pill, when coated becomes a pill.

So what has he made? Freebase? Crack? Or did he just purify the cocaine?
Thanks for your reply.

He didn't purify the cocaine, nor modified it, he didn't do anything.

Crack is a freebase form of cocaine, but you'd need something like baking soda or ammonia to make it.

Why would he want to solidify the cocaine ?

if anything the ~30% water in the rubbing alcohol can destroy some cocaine by hydrolysis... otherwise at best all he's done is turned it into little clumps
