What is the most effective way to smoke?

Do you have any preferred method to smoking marijuana that heightens the experience or makes it better in anyway?

Personally I think that holding the smoke in your mouth then taking a deep breath in and out with your nose before breathing in the smoke works best.
 
Many of us potheads like to hold smoke in for long periods of time, which is actually just damaging our lungs. Sucking in a big hit and holding stale smoke for awhile is actually just ruining our lungs. My prescribing doctor told me that THC is only absorbed into our bloodstream if the smoke is moving. The smoke only moves immediately after inhaling/exhaling. So "recirculate" your smoke by either lightly inhaling or exhaling during the entire duration of the hit, instead of just at the begining and end.

He tells me after 10 seconds, youve drawn about as much THC as youre going to get, without damaging your lungs, and should safely exhale after these 10 seconds.

You can get much higher off earwax or edibles. But if you are an average pothead with average income, taking small hits of really good weed seems to be the most cost effective way to maintain low tolerance. Yet still stay stoned enough to be satisfied all day. For what its worth, one big hit in the bong is the way to go in my mind, somehow stonier than a pipe/joint for me. When I need more than 1 large bong rip to get me off, I put myself on tolerance break for 2 weeks to regain that magic. Honestly I dont know how I lived without tolerance breaks for so long... I get almost as high as my first time, everytime, off a single bong rip... Works wonders on the money situation when you arent growing. 2 weeks without weed sucks, but I just drink a bit extra for 2 weeks and keep away from weed. Your return to cannabis will be magical after your tolerance break, Ive even had closed eye visuals recently!

Tolerance breaks and recirculating your hits are ultimately whats needed to maintain cannabis' most magical features IMO. When youre just sitting around smoking gram after gram daily and only just getting baked, you arent experiencing what mary truly has to offer us. Just some food for thought...
 
awesome advice about circulating the air in the lungs to get the THC absorbed.. I find that just holding a breathful of smoke doesn't affect me as much as continually drawing it in slowly and then being equally slow in exhaling it out. Doing that with a bong gets me as ripped as with a bucket.
 
I am a smoker that just cuz i liketo smoke weed, I dont smoke everyday, all day long. I know many "pot head connoissoirs who have weed apps on their phone and smoke all day, everyday, and the higher end stuff. Those are the ppl that take these huuuge hit, hold em in til they practically turn blue and i think its absolutely pointless. I hate when i smoke and take too much, end up coughin my head off so my throat`s on fire for the next hour. That is a complete buzz-kill! I smoke from a small pipe and smoke it almost like a cigarette. Small tokes and definitely about 2-3 week breaks, then get about a 1/8 and make it last about a week or more. It`s also a good idea if you are in any way of getting a U/A and u know when that might happen(not my experience at the moment) but since it stays in your fat cells, its a good idea to space it out to give ur body time to rid it of those THC holding-fat cells.

Agree, and on top of that I feel the people who think they're getting higher from holding it in are just cutting off oxygen to there brain by not breathing. Which I guess in a way may make you think your higher on THC, but not really. Unnecessary. I find the older generation of smokers tend to do that. Always funny to watch however. Toke bud and get high, bong is my favorite. Always hits ya hard.
 
Hash oil extracts are my preference. A small dab gets me as uplifted as several bowls of strong herb, so you greatly reduce the amount of plant you are consuming.
 
vaporizer will get the most thc out of your weed and will let the least amount of smoke escape. Also it is healthier for you, less suspicious smelling, and have cool colors that light up!
