Yep, (well, specific incense are psychoactive. Palo santo can be grouped in there too but its psychoactity is risky [not sure on this one, but ive heard it can be a paralytic]), yep, and yep! I dont like to use this phrase cause its been taken to an extreme by just libtards, but it is basically the poster child for cultural appropriation. Used often by native Americans in specific cleansing rituals, but then those retarded holistic supplement addicts at whole foods heard about its 'spiritual' properties. After that the wild population got decimated very quickly. It continues to be picked to near extinction (obviously not sustainable) and then they just slap the "ETHICALLY HARVESTED" label on that shit and sell it for 20 bucks a stick. Its pretty fucked up shit to be honest, which is why I recommend another species as opposed to Salvia Alpina. Theyre all gonna smell very close to eachother due to similar thujone content. And by using another species, youre helping reduce the amount harvested (the less people who buy it, the less profitable it will be, leading eventually, hopefully, to the industry failing)
Oh! And sage is psychoactive aswell due to that chemical thujone I mentioned. Definitely not in the way you want (GABA antagonist that in sufficient doses can trigger seizures), but its what is supposed to give true absinthe the mildly 'psychedelic' properties (though this is more likely due to the copious consumption of 150+ proof alcoholic beverages).
It can change your headspace when smoking directly, but only mildly so. Definitely not worth the harsh smoke, but a nice flavor and better than sobriety; at least i thought so when I was 13 and had no weed. But thankfully it’s been a minute, lol.
