What is considered a high level of kratom use? per use / per day?

Ridding myself Tramadol I found Kratom. Great step down. So great I continued it. Almost 2 years later I am taking 12 .5mg caps 5 -6 times within 24 hrs.

Thinking about tapering down and maybe stop. So I figured a reality check on where I am at would be good to know.

30-36g per day is a very high amount (I'm assuming you mean .5g caps). 6g doses isn't terribly high, but taking that amount 5 or 6 times per day is.

I took 30g per day for many years, and the withdrawal was just as bad as other opioids, and worse in some ways.

In relative terms of dose per day:
<4g = low
4-8g = medium
8-12g = high
15g+ = very high
30g+ = extremely high

If you want to reduce usage I would start by dosing less frequently. I found tapering kratom to be relatively easy. You could probably immediately reduce down to below 10g and not feel any withdrawal, other than mental cravings.
