What if Money Was No Object?

I have a very happy life - got everything I need. If somebody else looked at my life and thought - I would need so much more does that make my life meaningless/pointless/sad/tragic.
 
I hate that video. You are saing you would travel? take drugs & have fun? I dont think so! you will be hunting and working on farm to get some food
And who the fuck will you give free drugs? U can still earn money by doing what you like to do, if you really want.

The basics of the video which we have gone far way from now suggest that if you do what you love and you do it well and you become successful at it then you will make money just by doing it, not overnight but in time. Rather than sitting in a cubicle or at a desk all day long hating your job and waiting for the second hand to hit 5pm
 
I'd love a 9-5 job.

In this day and age it's hard to find a job with normal working hours.

Who's gonna man the call centres for when I need to beg for more time to pay bills then? It's the shitty menial stuff that kinda gets taken for granted that no cunt would choose to do if it weren't for a weekly paycheque and the other option being the dole. It's all very well saying "do what you love and the money will come" but not for everybody it can't. Nice for those that can do it but most really can't cos they're trapped in a shitty system. Drop out of the system by all means but that just isn't feasible on a large scale without first changing the system.
 
That's the problem, the whole world has to have the foundations and be ready to change all at once, so we can move into these self sufficient cities without the need to 9-5 jobs, just centres for learning and centres for recreation inside them, obviously with access to the rest of the outside world too, but it makes you think that if you were having a such a good life without money living in one of these cities then why the need to contact the outside world other than for family contact or to contact other similar cities and stuff.

It wont happen all at once though, so will need willing workers to do the hard shit whilst others are already living their utopian bliss, which is also going to cause a lot of stress and hard feelings and could end up in civil wars, it's a hard problem to tackle, and I don't think anyone has the answer.
 
Never going to happen in this or in many, many lifetimes to come. Something will only bend if it's about to break. Only if the human race find's itself on the edge of disaster and when we have no other choice to survive will things ever change.
 
I'm doing 'what I love' and I'm a chronic masturbator and complete financial disaster. :)

Don't they still pay £15 a pop for sperm donations? Or is that just an urban myth. Perfect career structure for the chronic masturbator community. They even provide free pr0n. And a cuppa tea and bisuit - should be plenty to keep energy levels high enough to carve rub out a decent living :D

Not given the still empty pot they'd be getting at the end of those 36 hours. Not a career suited to me despite having decent qualifications and suitable CV and references :(
