Sometimes saying no can be hard right? So how do we say no when our inner demons say yes? What steps do you take each day to say no?

Today it was dog food (H) or cat food... i chose cat food. Don't know about tomorrow(?)

Welcome to Bluelight Trotterz!

I think about what I want my future to look like, and that keeps them at bay, since they like to take the easy routes and live in the moment. My demons are my very strong Id - I need to listen more to my superego.

That is interesting madness00. For myself I just think of the past and what I want for my future. I think of all the wasted time. How much I could have achieved and what I am achieving today walking a different path than the previous.

All my life experience says that you are on the right track Trotterz. As to Madness's reference to listening to the "superconscious mind", there is a slight misconception.

One can use their intuition (the ability to teach one's self) to determine if a change is needed. By fixing ones attention on the new goal(conscience mind), one sets the subconscious mind into action. The subconscious mind transfers the wanted pattern onto the superconscience mind which operates to work towards making it a reality. One cannot directly affect either the subconscience or superconscience mind directly as they work above and below our direct consciousness respectively.

This is what the Hermetic sciences refer to when they say "as is above so is below".

Use this to your advantage.

I felt it had something to do along those lines but thank you for the elaboration it is quite in-depth. The brain is a phenomenal machine. Extremely interesting. Prior to getting off the beaten track I never understood just how hard addiction and demons can control you. Once you learn how to control them I believe that you know yourself better as a human you just have to work hard at it..
