Little backstory:

I was pretty heavy into drugs when I was a youngin back about 6-7 years ago (between ages of 14-16, 23 now) not much into ecstasy but I still had rolled a total of about 10 times. Back then 'molly' was not really a thing. It was just called ecstasy and I remember it went by stacks - double stack, triple stack, ect....probably BS in terms of dose but just saying for reference. All the stuff going around (at least in my area) was in hard pill form. Every time I rolled I can still till this day specifically remember the feeling. Intense...constant....pure bliss...cloud 9...ROLLING you could not mistake it for anything else. Rolling was the best way to describe it. It just made perfect sense because that was truly the feeling, rolling over and over and over. I remember my pupils taking up my whole iris. I remember all my friends and I planing a whole day when we would take it because you were in for a minimum of 6 hours and I remember most if not all of the times I rolled back then I crashed super hard after and felt like pure death. Of course some were better, some crashes were less harsh, ect. but for the most part I remember all the experiences being similar in terms of the high.

Now fast forward until present day. I've been out of the drug scene pretty much completely since I was about 18 so 4-5 years. Recently I've met some new people and have started going to edm shows. Long story short I have in the past year on 4 separate occasions from 4 different sources taken what is supposedly 'molly' (clear capsule, powder form) and supposed to be pure mdma. To say the least none of the highs have compared even slightly. They have all been very mellow and short lived (2 hours at most all 4 times)...a good feeling definitely but light years from what I recall as truly rolling....I would not even classify it as anything close to rolling. I have not crashed like I used to (which is a good thing, as I was told since its 'pure' there is no crash) but the people I've been going to shows with are convinced this is rolling and what they have/are getting is 'molly' but whatever it is its subpar to what I remember as rolling yet costs about the same ($20-30 for a pill which is supposedly .2-.3mgs)

Is this happening everywhere? I don't know if I've just gotten really unlucky but I guess my theory is majority of whats going around in my area these days is either not mdma at all or just severely less dosed yet there are not enough people who can tell the difference so there is a new status-quo and its just accepted for what it is. Its a dam shame.

I have done MDMA 3 times in the past 5-6 weeks

First two times from the same batch. Pretty sure this was legit because the feelings where out of this world, as in I did not know you could feel like that and it hit me really hard. I was still buzzing 5-6 hours later while coming down. I cant even describe well how I felt because "amazing" doesnt seem strong enough. However unlike you the following day I felt an "afterglow" and did not have any kind of crash

Took some last night from a different source and it sounds kind of similar to you. Nothing in comparison. Just a light mellow buzz and you sober up pretty quickly. Nothing intense and definitely no "peak". You feel like youre coming up but it never happens. I had this light buzz but occasionally felt sober until returning to that light buzz. In and out of feeling sober and buzzed. Still able to have a great time however its just disappointing because you were expecting so much more.

I agree with you though it is probably much weaker stuff or a different substance.

Maybe try testing your product next time, its what I am going to do next time for sure
 
Life long tolerance? I'm not sure. I have to say from 2012-2013 I've tried three different MDMA batches. First was blackberries - off the hook, did it twice 2012 and it was intense upcome, magical and pure bliss exactly what rolling is. Then late 2012 I got my hand on green questionsmarks and same thing there, intense upcome, magical yeah it was def. the same substances as in the blackberreis(lasted 3½hour peakwise) I bought around 8 questionmarks, then a couple of months later like 4½ I did use questionmarks again this time it was not the same, smooth upcome not the WHOOOSH im usualy too, only lasted 2hr and while it was enjoyable it wasnt the same anymore. 1 week ago I had some mdma crystals bought of a good SilkRoad supplier and had it tested, its mdma, but the same there, smooth upcome, lasted around 3½hr though but it just wasnt the same as before!

Is this loss of magic? or life long tolerance? I'm not sure, wanted to share though
 
What you describe as "molly" was most likely Methylone or another cathinone, they are analogues as MDMA sold as MDMA to many unsuspecting users. Many people I have met do not understand, know or care about the difference and think taking .6-1 gram in a night is normal (of methylone) and say it suits them fine they like their shit. Little do they know :(
 
Try to find a hookup with pills from europe. The 'molly' in the US is generally not 'molecule' MDMA. What a crock of shit it is. Going to parties these days people just sit around. Makes me sad in the pants.

Try to explain why I react like I did
im from europe, pills are from europe. There could be life long tolerance in the play in some individuals...
 
^^ It's hard to say. Reaction to MDMA can be dose-dependent. Also cuts/impurities. The pills cut with phets have always had way more 'whoosh' for me, as you put it :)

Yeah blackberries was def cut with phets, im sure of that. But the green questionsmark gave me whooosh feeling first time, same batch tried a few months later gave me smooth comeup with only a mellow buzz thru the night not so much emphaty or love. always kept doses over 180mg+. Got 500mg left of crystals but im holding up til i reach my 6month mark before i take it and hope to feel that whoosh again, or atleast emphaty/love kick. Cuz I havnt felt that the last two rolls.
 
You either got something that was not MDMA (some examples include M1, BZP, 6-APB) or your fond memories of previous use are impacting your experience. My only truly memorable experience with MDMA was on my first exposure. All of my following rolls were extremely enjoyable, but lacked the astonishment and complete release of a lifetime of built-up negativity.
 
I never found molly until 6-7 years after I first was rolling off pills .. always been legit.
Like Erowid says, know your source (tho I just kept getting lucky)
Its still out there but just as likely to be bunk as pills, end of story
Good thing E doesn't make people violent :p
 
It's a shame all the people who think they're doing MDMA every weekend really are getting methylone mixed with amphetamine.. or something like that ;P
Not all of them ofc, but a lot of them it seems. I can tell you straight away real mdma is still out there, I've had some sweet ass rolls here.. being touched by God himself
But problem is if u never had that extreme roll, you dont know what to expect. So it's easy to think you were rolling when in fact you were not.
Its very hard to describe the feeling of real mdma... but I know why it got the name Ecstasy... cause thats how it is, pure ecstasy in all kinds of ways, and the unmistakeable refreshed feeling afterwards.. it just changes the way you think about things for the better, like a psychedelic

It's a damn shame something so beutiful and meaningful ends up being a money machine for the criminals who do not care wheter you get good shit or not

But the real stuff is still out there, a friend of mine went to Berlin with a friend and walked to a disco.. there they met a guy who worked in the club who asked them if they needed "something". Turned out he was the guy who made sure everyone in the club got clean stuff, and they rolled their ass off

Molly is like the hot chick in highschool that everybody wanted to fuck. 15 years later you go to your 15 yr highschool reunion and your talking to this really fat chick and she tells you her name and your like godamn wtf happened to u? U ain't the same as when we were in school. That's molly!
