What happened? (injection issue)

So I have been trying out a new location for injection (dilaudid), just under the fold inside the arm. This is probably the #1 most common spot for most, but I always had a hard time finding the vein there (mine are not visible, i've had to do it by touch).

Anyway, earlier tonight was my second time injecting there (I had a successful try 2 days ago) and something weird happened. I injected, drew back, saw blood and slowly plunged down, all as usual and then - nothing happened.

I didn't feel the drug hit me, nor did my arm swell up as in a missed shot. At about the time I should have felt the rush, I did feel a little odd; it was as if withdrawals momentarily got worse - for a few seconds it felt as if a fever intensified and a broke out into a minor sweat - so I def had some sort of reaction to it.

So what happened? I must have missed, because I didn't feel it as expected, but if I missed it should have swelled up my arm, right?

Anyone know what this was?

If you missed you would have felt it and there should be a noticeable redness/bruise. It should at least be sore if nothing else.

Maybe your tolerance has just grown? Thats the only thing I could think of personally..Thats what I HATE about shitty H. I shoot up thinking its great but in reality its half the strength as the usual and its just a complete WASTE! Pointless without the rush IMO. PS Sorry to go off topic..im tweakin' as im sure if you read all my others posts( like 10) ive made in the past hour then youd notice haha)

Dilaudid is a prescribed drug..I doubt it.

I think your tolerance has just caught up to you. maybe try 2-4 more mg of dilaudid.

It's def not tolerance, as all shots before and after this one had the desired effect.

Wait a sec, my memory is unfuzzing and I may have just solved my own mystery.. Just prior to this shot, as i was prepping, i spilled my crushed dilaudid powder on the countertop before i could tirn it into a solution. It went everywhere, but there was one "pool" of powder concentrated enough to save. It was no longer sanitary enough to shoot, but i figured I could snort it safely enough..

So i did.

Anyway, that means there was just enough opiate in my system so that when i did my full-on arm shot i wouldn't feel it.

I think that solves it. On the other hand, it doesn't explain why I had a sudden onset of bad feelings after the shot...

sometimes opiates- especially really rushy ones like dilly- can mess with you like that. idk like it can sometimes feel unpleasant if you have certain timing with coming down off one dose and coming up on another. especially if you havent eaten or are tired. but thats just speculation. it also couldve been that maybe you were expecting a shot to hit you so you felt shitty without it? again speculation.
