What gives you muscle spasms?

Last weekend I did coke for the first time at a dnace festival. I didn't do much but it was my first ever time taking (knowingly at least!) cocaine. The thing is, after taking it. Every now and then I'd get these funny little muscle spasms in my left hand. They weren't bad or anything just a little freaky as I'd never experienced anything like this before on other drugs.
As a complete virgin to coke I must admit I'm relatively ignorant to it's known effects etc so if anyone knows what causes this and whether or not it's something that's consistent with using cocaine then please reply.
I did do a substantial amount of ecstasy during this fesival so I was wondering if the ecstasy could have had something to do with it though I've never experineced spasms before on e.

I'm weird but weed is the only drug which gives me ucontrolled muscle spasms. Oh, and some stimulants make me "jittery" but not exactly spasming, although I've heard it can be common with strong uppers.

i have done 'e' plenty of times and normaly just get the "I CAN push my bottom jaw over my forehead" syndrome. but last time i was out, i did a li'll coke and droped some pills, the coke wore off, the pills kicked in, and could i fucker's like keep my jaw still, it was like i was very cold. I was trying to spark up a cig for 10min b4 i noticed all the cute girlie's laughing there ass off at me. "hey look there's the guy with the vibrr chin hehehe"

With it being the first time I did coke I was just wondering if it was normal to get muscle spasms. Also with me doing an extra large amount of pills I'm unsure whether the spasms were a result of the cocaine, the pills or a combination of both! Any ideas

astian whenever i smoked weed i got mad muscle spasms in my legs.. no matter if i was sitting or standing its was crazy

Yeah I get weed spasms to it I smoke alot.

I get the spasms (very small ones) when I come down off speed, meth or coke.
Someone mentioned it's like your body going through withdrawals.
how true that is, I'm not sure, but It made sense to me. Kinda like a hangover.

I get muscle spasm when I do speed (amphetamine) for a couple of days in a row, especially when I didn't had any sleep.
