RCs What effects do Dissociatives ( specifically dxm and mxe ) have on BP / Heart Rate?

My father has had 2-3 heart attacks and has high blood pressure which he takes Metropol Tartarate for. He also has I believe five stents. He absolutely loves tripping but he can't do it anymore because of his heart. Anytime I have acid or anything he has to resist the temptation to trip.

I was thinking maybe he could have something similar without the risk to his heart because dissociatives feel like downers to me. I don't know the actual affects on BP and HR though, I may just be so Dissociated that I don't notice them going up.

The dxm would be powder form not robitussin etc, I'm just wondering if people know how safe / unsafe it would be for him to try them out. If it does increase both but only minimaly I think it would be pretty safe and obviously would have him start out slow and at low doses and work his way up just to make sure he could tolerate it.

I'm pretty sure this is the right section, if not sorry mods. I forgot BL didn't have a Dissociative's section.

P.S. I added the RC prefix because I mentioned MXE as well.

Not sure about DXM or MXE, but ketamine raises the blood pressure and causes tachycardia (higher heart rate).
