Do you think we are looking at price increases and more bloodshed as traditional smuggling routes change? Or do you think it will be business as usual and Trump is putting out more right wing propaganda.

Guess I will go first with the speculation. I think the Cartels will switch there routes back towards the Caribbean sea and use a combo of submarines, fishing boats, and commercial traffic to bring drugs to ports all along the Gulf of Mexico and even up the eastern seaboard. I do think that another crackdown on Mexico mixed with the Farcs defeat in Columbia will spell the end of cocaine as we have known it. It will be replaced by cheap RC stims that can be manufactured in clandestine labs that are not vulnerable like a huge field of plants is. Heroin will continue to become the cartels number 1 money drug along with meth as there is insatiable demand for both drugs all over the US and Canada. I also think Fentanyl will continue to rise as it can be produced on the US side of the border which means its much cheaper to distribute.

I think it will have minimal to no effect, but that's to be seen. If he's nothing else, DT is greedy scum, which could equal regulated drug access because it means someone can make an extra buck off of creating more misery.

^agreed. I fail to see how it would have any effect as we already do not allow drugs over the boarder so they already come up with creative means to get around that. The problem is people confuse desire with need, if you "need" to get yourself or drugs over the boarder you will, if you desire to then the deterrents will work.

Its like how if you lock your car door kids wont break in to see if there is anything in it. If you lock your car and a crackhead sees money they will smash your window. One is a desire the other is a need at least in my example. So by that no nothing will change, maybe like CJ said they will switch to a different route but largely nothing will change.

My prediction!

The Mexican government will be forced to work with the cartels to create the world's largest drug empire. Why? Because Trump is going to make Mexico pay for a gigantic wall that spans the US-Mexico border! But why do they do they build this wall to keep themselves out? Well, from the words of Donald Trump, "I love Mexico... Mexicans love me". The Mexicans do indeed love Donald Trump so much that they work with the cartels to fund the project. In exchange, theyre allowed exclusive access across the border.

The best part of this plan? Donald Trump is its mastermind :) It's a win-win, because Mexico gets to build a wall out of love for their neighbor's president, and with the severe influx in drugs, Trump gets to crackdown on drug abuse. With the drug pandemic worse than ever, Trump signs an executive order to provide the DEA access to the national guard. Tanks roll into a ghetto near you, and around 5% of the minority population is sent to military detainment camps where they are subject to "enhanced interrogation".

The detainees can't help but roll on their friends and family as they are subjected to their enhanced interrogations. As a result, Trump signs yet another executive order to immediately invest in Trump Prisons™ across the country. There, we send a significant portion of the countries minorities, welfare recipients, and those in the lower socioeconomic class. As President Trump rids us of society's leeches, the middle-class is unburied from beneath their enormous weight.

Finally, America is made great again
