It worked for me. However, I really can't in good faith recommend a benzodiazepine as a long-term medication for anything. The benefit to diazepam over other drugs in the same class is its long half life and weak potency. Its weak potency is a benefit because it allows for more precise dosing + titration, and an easier time ceasing use.
Again, I can't recommend it. I was using valium recreationally, got popped by the 5-0, and my doctor believed my story about how I was "using it to sleep," leading to a legit script. I had a really cool doc haha. Did it help me sleep during the 30 months or so that I used it? DEFINITELY! Do I think it was a mistake to knowingly utilize a benzo for sleep instead of something else? Also very much yes.

edit: I just went back and read through the thread again, I see you're experienced with BZDs. Ignore my parental talk. Just know that if other benzos didn't work for ya, diazepam won't be much different. Sorry
