What does Stress do to you, personally?

I lose weight when I get stressed which goes against what I'm trying to do.

I seem to be in a constant state of stress...

My daily schedule includes:
- Panic
- Lack of focus
- Alternating bouts of gluttony and anorexia
- Anhedonia
- Hypochondria
- Actual sickness
- Drug addiction
- Social avoidance
- Lack of motivation

As the day draws on...

- Forgetfulness
- Difficulty recalling memories
- Irritability
- Depression
- Craving for alcohol
- EXTREME fatigue (to the point of inability to move), leading to...
- Narcolepsy (happens often, too)
- Shortness of breath
- Occasional insomnia

Yep, I think that's all. This is pretty much my daily schedule. Funny thing is that I look the opposite of your typical "high-stress" person.

I lose my appetite and have to force-feed myself smoothies and soup because liquids are the only thing that can go down...

I also bite my lips, have done it to the point where they bleed and scar for a week or so

And of course... reach for the bottle of wine.

I bite my nails, have repetitive/racing thoughts, get paranoid, and try my best to avoid drinking. If a drop of whiskey hits my lips, it might be game over. Under extreme stress I'm apt to get completely shit face wasted and be a humongous asshole. It's had a bad effect on relationships to say the least.

A big yoga session, run, or meditation has an amazing effect on my stress. They can cause a complete 180 in my attitude within an hour or two. Also, addressing the source of stress works wonders. I make a list of everything I need to do and start with the easy stuff. helps heaps

Oh, well if we're counting nervous habits (which increase in frequency and severity when stressed), then I definitely do the lip-biting. Plus for some reason I love to pick at the skin on the sides of my nails. Usually I'll have at least one finger bleeding or scabbed when I'm stressed, and at least one other one in near-constant pain since I've exposed the lower layers of skin.

It depends on the type of stress......
I recently found that I have fibromyalgia and stress intensifies the pain........
Normally during high stress- I have panic attacks, can't sleep, become very scatterbrained.......
I become bitchy and short with people.....
Sometimes I eat more if I am stressed....it really depends but I think stress is what brought on the fibro......Stress=no good. :)

generally speaking i just get the head pressure thing where i'm always incredibly wired inside to the point of a perpetual headache. i'm very introverted irl and can hold a poker face when blind drunk or under extreme emotional stress, so i don't display any physical symptoms one can see from outside.
but inside becomes a wreck.
also, my proctalgia fugax condition is triggered by stress.

I basically kind of shut down. I sleep a lot, don't eat that much...or eat a lot like MC

I actually think I handle stress really well. I just focus on whatever it is stressing me out until the situation is resolved.

Under a little stress I eat a lot, under a lot of stress my appetite completely disappears...

Unfortunately, after a really bad mushie trip, the nature of my anxiety takes on qualities of a 'bad trip'...perhaps anyone else with experience of bad psych trips will know what I'm talking about...?

Basically I start to question the most basic of concepts (time, life, death...) until I feel like I don't understand anything.

I don't think i have ever been truly stressed, ive been angry, but then i just hit something. But stress just doesn't seem to faze me, too laid back i suppose lol
