I'm just curious, everyone is always saying "use Klonidine" or "get Klonidine" if you're trying to withdraw.
But when I was in detox, all the Klonidine did was lower my blood pressure. I was actually confused why they didn't just keep me on my regular inderal.
But speaking in terms of the present. I take inderal "as needed" for school, presentations and what not and its the best med ever invented for that imo. But for coming off opiates, will inderal help similar like Klonidine? Inderal is pretty powerful as I understand it, is Klonidine just stronger?
And another thing I never understood is how it controls hot flashes. Thats usually the #1 claim. Hot flashes are due to the nervous system no? From the actual receptor site? But people seem to say hot flashes are caused form a raise in blood pressure. I don't buy that, because my blood pressure has registered HIGHER in other times, then when I was actually withdrawing on opiates, and I still had pretty nasty hot flashes. Is this is a myth about Klondine helping for hot flashes, or a misunderstanding that people just keep going on about? I figured I'll just take inderal cause its easier and I don't really see the advantages.
Any thoughts are def welcome, thanks!
