What do you take on your comedown

I did a search i could not find any information on this, i was only able to find a search on 5htp pre and post loading.

What do you guys take on the comedown and how much, this would include 5htp and other vitamins.

What do you take and how much after a speed and pill comedown ?

What do you take and how much after only having pills ?

What do you take and how much after only having speed ?

At the moment, i take 400 mg's of 5htp after pills, and 200 mg's the following night.

I just want to educate myself on how to minimise those tuesday bad days and damage to my brain.

Any information would be appreciated.

Remember to Eat and Drink well the following days, even when you dont feel like it.

Also, I try to eat and Drink Water before going to bed after a night pilling


And Generally try to live the rest of the week healthy
 
Anything with a rich source of antioxidants is good for comedowns....Also eat plenty of bannanas, 'cause they contain a lot of serotonin....

Have a look at the Main Forum FAQ - there's a post in there copied from ages ago, written by "deep" that has a comprehensive guide to pre/post-loading. The original post by deep appears on Page 1 of our Main FAQ, and there's deep's revised thoughts on pre/post-loading on Page 2. There's alternative viewpoints from Trancendance and others in there too on Page 2. Heaps to read, lots of good suggestions.

that's my advice...

Actually, bananas are good for their vitamins etc. For serotonin, you'd need to eat about 200 to equal one 5htp tablet..
 
... which is why we eat bananas, which rather than containing serotonin, actually contain L-tryptophan, which can then be converted by your body into 5-hydroxytryptophan (=5-HTP), and then into 5-hydroxytryptamine (=5-HT = serotonin).

To minimise my come down as soon as I get home the next morning I try to drink bourbon and coke all day till around 8 or 9 pm that night. I don't think this is that rich in 5-htp, L-tryptophan or is even that good for you, actually it's probably really bad, but it sooths the aches and pains anyway. Some people like to smoke cones when they're coming down.

I guess what I should be asking is how much worse does drinking or smoking on the comedown make eccy tuesday for you?

Why not make a bannana and 5-HTP smoothie then???

But, yeah, bongs are great for coming down off anything.....
 
cones, cigs, sex and fast food are my 4-point plan to come down success :)

sleep doesnt hurt either, though sometimes its pretty difficult
 
When I used to take MD, I'd ingest/partake in the following (in no particular order)

alpha lapoic acid
blackmores antioxidant +
milk thistle
breakfast
sex
shower
sleep

If im told to pre load 200 mg's of 5htp and 1000 mg's of vitamin c.

How long is this meant to be before taking the first pill.

1 hours 1 week ??
 
Serotonin does not cross the blood/brain barrier either. It also happens to be carcinogenic.
i wasn't aware that 5-HTP was carcinogenic, but there have been varying levels of credibility attributed to the blood-brain barrier thing. what's your info source?

and incidentally, all illicits are pretty much carcinogens!
 
serotonin is 5-HT, or 5-hydroxytryptamine
5-HTP is short for 5-hydroxytryptophan

There's a subtle difference, 5-HTP is a precursor to 5-HT.

if i can't get my hand on any 5-HTP, i just smoke some weed and try to eat/sleep. but if i can't do that, i have to be either by myself, or with my boyfriend.

He was saying that serotonin is carcinogenic, not 5-HTP. Serotonin is carcinogenic, in your blood stream.

At worst, ignorant people fooling with 5-HTP
actually risk their health, since serotonin in the peripheral
blood is not benign. Serotonin causes not only harmless flushing
and diarrhea, but people with serotonin secreting tumors (hindgut
carcinoids) also have problems with fibrosis of the endocardium
and valves in their right hearts, which can cause heart failure.
This fibrosis is caused by the serotonin. This effect can also
be seen with dietary intake of only modest amounts of serotonin,
and there has actually been described in the medical literature a
tribe of South Sea islanders with right heart fibrosis as a
result of eating green banana mash (matuki), which poisons them
with its serotonin content. No, I'm not making this up. The
hydroxylation of tryptophan is a rate-limiting step in the
peripheral production of serotonin, and one bypasses it at one's
peril.

5-HTP is far too often taken as a be all end all preventative measure for neurotoxicity.
 
I have a shower first, to wash the sweat off. Followed by a cup of tea and some HTP. Then I crash out, when I drag my ass outta bed in the afternoon I head straight for the O.J., then a meal.

I always put fresh sheets on my bed before I go out for a big night too, it makes getting home and crawling under the covers sooo cozy and lush.
