What do you like best about the North American location where you live?

I just wish there were more interesting characters in southern IL. Got a descent scene going but there are those always out there trying to pollute it as i put it. At least i'm not far from St.Louis.

The mountains of NC:

The parties, the hippies, the beautiful locale, the eco awareness of the people here, the great locally brewed beer, the music, hiking, waterfalls, mountains.

its a pretty nice place

^Ecological awareness in a town is extremely important to me, and I'm definitely not what anyone would consider a hippie or tree hugger. But I feel like if you enjoy your city, you want it to remain clean, and you want it to make a positive impact on the land containing it, which includes recycling, green energy, and all that fun stuff. When I lived in the south, there wasn't really any sort of that awareness, not even recycling programs or places where you could drop off cans or bottles, and it was really just sad. NC looks pretty nice from those pics though, seems like somewhere I would enjoy. I've only been to Charlotte, and that was only for a brief amount of time so I can't really say I know that much about it.

yea no shit. Asheville is super cool. The Piedmont of NC is pretty shitty and I can't think of a lot right now I love about it. Gaelic Ale is probably my go to favorite beer.

My location is an hour away from Lake Tahoe, above the stink and heat of the valley and there is only one or two churches per town. Last place I was at, near Redding California, was the mind control capital of the planet. Nothing but churches, meth and hicks on meth.

Green Bay, WI -- nothing to like, it sucks. Planning to move to Portland, OR next summer. There are a few peolple I'll miss though.

i live in winnipeg. and what i love most is how its big and small at the same time. 700 000 people is the perfect number. not so small its boring but not so big that you have retarded traffic like in bigger cities (traffic does get hectic but no where near as bad as a place like ny or la or even toronto. plus even though its a city it has this kinda town feel to it where everyone knows everyone if you know what i mean not literally of course.

plus winnipeg so ive been told is the only place to do socials(weddings, fundraisers, benefits etc) or at least the birthplace of it. people in other cities do it too im sure and prolly cuz they were from winnipeg or doing something similar.(and i know what a wedding party or reception is lol but this is different) . anyways peg cities really big on em. its so much fun to go to a social with bunch friends and get loaded off cheap drinks lol.

the local music scene here is great.

and then theres all the lakes and campsites all over manitoba tons of great places to camping on the weekend

I'm in Manhattan. Cultural scene can't be beat - this is the literary & musical capitol (esp. for jazz and classical) of the US. Pumping night scene. Smartest and most beautiful people I've met are other New Yorkers. I love that every little street corner has its own charm; finding a great, random 3-table only restaurant after a maze of avenues is a joy that's unknown to other Americans.

I also like that the city forces you to clash with other kinds of people, race-wise and status-wise. I like that it's a city built for walking.

I don't like that it's getting more and more gentrified, and it's well-nigh impossible to own a place. But my favorite part about the city is that no matter the flaws, you can't help but be drawn to it.
