What do you do when your best friend betrays you? What do you do when your whole world is crashing down on you and no one is there for you? What do you do when the person who you confided in and trusted and loved chooses fucking instead of her best friend? What do you do when the person who you thought that you could trust, suddenly is not there? What do you do? How do you cope? How do you make it through another day? How do you choose to not go to the sleeping pills or the knife? How do you keep on living and acting every day like nothing is wrong and the world is perfect? How do you make it? I don't know...and tonight may be the last time I will have to think about tomorrow...
 
Know that the one thing that you do have is YOU.
And that YOU are a wonderful, caring person.
And that YOU are special to many people, even people you haven't met yet.
And that YOU are loved.
And that YOU are YOU.
If a friend betrays you, then your friend has shown you their true colors. Learn from that lesson.
If a friend chooses someone else over you, then they must live with that choice when YOU choose to keep them or leave them.
Remember you're living YOUR life for YOU, not for them.

I know totally how you feel, the same thing happened to me 2 years ago. Bloodshot thoughts in the dry mind morning, curling up in pain wishing life away, it's so fucking hard. But belive me, I know it's a clique.. it's one of the best things that's ever happened to me. Once the pain subsides (and it WILL in time), you'll realise that you've learned more than you could possibly of previously imagined. Keep TekDancR's words close to your heart and belive in yourself.

You didn't deserve that, but... as a wise bluelighter once told me, even though it's horrible you went through that, beautiful poetry came from it

So everyone, before you think i'm an evil bitch, this poem was about me (just so you know). This is much more far-reaching than I thought! I'm on the internet! JEEZUS! Well, i hope you've gotten what you wanted Ash. Just so you know, sweetheart, I'm on bluelight now too, and I'd appreciate it if we kept the bad-mouthing to a minimum in the future. Love ya!
