Now I'm not actually a substance user, ocassional beer and experimented with some stuff but nothing serious. (unless you count phenibut, day 7 for me off) but I struggle with dark circles even when not on anything and before I started experimenting. I live in an area with heavy heroine use, so anybody with the "druggie" look gets dirty looks. Iv had people close doors on me and purposely bump into me, just general disrespect. I dont want to give the wrong impression that Im high when Im sober and never touched hard drugs.

I eat healthy, sleep enough, and exercise so I dont know what else to do.

I remember reading it helps to keep your head elevated while sleeping. I believe the cause has something to do with blood flow in that area.

If you google the question it will return numerous articles about home remedies.

Thin skin around the eyes show blood vessels - as you age the skin becomes more transparent showing more blood / dark circles.

All treatments simply tighten those blood vessels making the amount of visible blood less apparent. Staying properly hydrated is your cheapest fix, after that you can apply a cold compress (cucumber etc) - then you can use creams which either mask the circle or constrict the blood vessels (usually caffeine / retinoids). If that doesn't work you can have a procedure called Thermage or blepharoplasty (eye surgery) to correct them.

Sleep and hydration are the easiest fixes.

I get these more visibly after playing football or rigourous exercise. My friends always ask "what happened to your eyes" and I just say it's normal.

My mother has the hugest bags under her eyes. Is that anything to be concerned about?

My quick guess is that if you are at 7 days off phenibut, you probably haven't been sleeping great this week. I'd give it another week of restorative rest, and if the problem persists, then maybe try some of the suggestions.
