What Brand Syringe is the best? How do I ask for them?

I see some threads telling people to practice shooting water. But I thought you are not suppose to do that unless its IV flush water (saline or w.e). I just thought Id say on here some should clarify for other posters asking. Of course most IV users will use tap water to shoot their dope. But its not recommended for practice shots?. Also what about drinking water? My friend is now thinking about trying shooting, if she does is it ok to use purified drinking water? She isnt able to get saline. And I work all the time so I dont really have much time to get her some from the hospital.

I live in Dallas, but I've found this method pretty much flawless everywhere I've been. Granted, it can be VERY tedious. But it works, depending on how patient you are willing to be.

Your appearance has a lot to do with it. I am a long time IV Heroin user, but you would not know it from looking at me (if i had long sleeves on). Whenever i'm in a new city trying to find somewhere to buy points, I make an effort to look and act preppy, clueless, and preoccupied. There was a pharmacy here in dallas that sold rigs to anyone for YEARS but they were in a nice neighborhood and had to stop beause so many "scary, dirty looking people" (their words, not mine) were coming in multiple times a day buying single points. Know what your asking for. I prefer 28g 1cc BD Insulin syringes. I've also found it helps not to ask, but state what you need, i.e. "A pack of 28gauge 1cc BD syringes, please" instead of "can i have a box of needles?"

It is not illegal for pharmacies to sell syringes, but it is up to each establishment whether or not they will do it without a perscription to insulin in your name at that pharmacy. In this dilemma, i've had the "they're for my mom/dad/aunt" thing work as well as the "im from out of town".

Also another thing i've found works tremendously well in a pinch is using Allergy syringes. Claim to need a pack of 28 gauge allergy syrnges for your epinephrine for your severe peanut/bee/whatever allergy because you are in a hurry. I don't like using them as much as insulin syringes but they are basically the same.

Anyway, i've found that if you go from pharmacy to pharmacy doing this, eventually you will get some. You would think Worse neighborhoods sometimes have a better chance, I've found that in really nice areas if your dressed right you raise less suspicion. I try both.

Basically the key is confidence, and talking and acting like your not doing a damn thing wrong. Because your not. Theoretially if you got pulled over right after buying them and the cop found them, as long as you didnt use them, theyre not illegal to have. Though it would give the cop a damn good probable cause to search your car, and if you're a junkie like me that is NOT something I want because i guarantee there is something wedged somewhere in there I dont want a cop to find.

Hope this helps.

Josie, thanks for your impute. But I dont need to buy syringes, I already have them, I was asking about water. My friend is wanting to practice now that I have some syringes, and she asked me if she could use bottled water, which I didnt know, so I asked here.
But thank you muvolution =), I printed that info off for her. I told her she just needs to make an account so she can look up what she needs. Lol.

I've been in rehab a few times and have heard of (and personally used) everything from pristine distilled water down to flat dr pepper and puddle-water. Personally I always use bottled and tap water and haven't had any problems from that. Just be sure to not share your water with people because you can pass disease that way

@josie whats the difference between the allergy pin and normal insulin aside from the markings on the side (I was under the impression that was the only difference..the measurement).. I was about to order some off the net.. a 25 terumo allergy pack thats on sale fuckin CHEAP as shit 4.99 shipped.

there is no difference between the two except the color of the cap and the markings. a rig is a rig

Some brands are of far superior quality when compared to a shit-brand like "Sure Comfort" insulin syringes.

I often find BD has more flaws than Walgreens or Terumo

went to a friends house and asked for a rig and he gave me this tiny ass needle. looked it up online and it was a bd ultra fine III 3/16" 31g. they are like $50+ a fucking box and although they go in really easy, they are only useful in the hands

I just order whats cheapest. just got some easy touch 30g 5/16" 1cc from sears for a great price. the only rigs I refuse to use (unless it's a dire situation) is the monojects.

I would love 3/16" tips. Sometimes 5/16" is a bit too long for some veins of mine. :)

Your right, there is the issue of quality.. but he was asking if there was a difference between allergy and insulin syringes and there isn't.

don't you guys have needle exchanges?
I remember lining up in the streets of San Fran 15 years ago for needles, but they required that you have old ones to exchange. so people would go fossicking around for dirties beforehand.

I don't know if you do, but here they have a toll free number to dial for free insulin syringes given out in the street by the foot patrol in MMelbourne. I know their number off by heart. sigh.

I don't know if I'd be saying the needles you want to buy are for insulin, not here in Australia anyhow. all our insulin comes in ampoules that fit into 'novo pens' and they have tiny needles to attach to a whole pen unit so no one draws up from a bottle or anything. same with clexane, same with lot's of IV/ subcut/ IM stuff. i'd have to ask as pharmacist what the hell they prescribe that needs actual drawing up from an ampoule. most are all in pre-mix ready to inject 'pens'. same with adrenaline for anaphylaxis, epipens.

if you have any ideas, that would help me out.

I wish so much there was a needle exchange here. Some states just aren't that liberal. They think that needle exchanges will make more people use IV drugs, when in reality an addict is gonna use regardless of if there's a needle exchange in town or not. The only difference not having them makes is that IV users are more likely to reuse needles, destroy their veins, and catch disease. Its truly sad. They should be everywhere.
