What book(s) are you reading now?

^^
Is that related to the spike lee film?

Yes. The Spike Lee film was based on the novel. Gotta love Edward Norton.

I am currently reading Downtown Owl by Chuck Klosterman. Funniest book I've read.. probably ever. Klosterman is amazingly hilarious! If you're looking for something that will make you laugh check this book out. I'm excited to read his other books, one is called Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs heh =D

Needful Things by the King, excellent read (haven't finished it yet tho, so I'm hoping the rest of the book is as brilliant as the first half).

And I've begun two other books, A million little pieces by James Frey (I'm at the beginning, it's so-so), and Frankenstein by Mary Shelley.

A Million Little Pieces is supposed to be a true story, the guy went on Oprah and talked about how difficult it was to go through rehab and be an addict and shit, then it turns out he just made it all up it was a big scam to sell books - Oprah was all pissed off - it was this whole big deal- i'm sure you can find out more about it just by google-ing. But yeah the guy (Frey) is full of shite.

^ Yeah, I saw that on his Wikipedia page. From what it says he just invented two or three things, not all the book.
Anyway I don't watch Oprah's show (I'm in Europe), but from what I know, I really think writers are licensed to mix up reality with fantasy. That's their privilege. But talent, it's another story...

Journeys to Central Asia, by the late 19th century American poet and travel writer Bayard Taylor. I love Victorian-era travel logs - of which one can find many originals

Just finished On the Road by Kerouac and I am about to finish Food of the Gods by Terrence Mckenna. I need to start putting a little thought into my next read. I'm thinking of getting further into the beat writers, maybe some Ginsberg or Burroughs.

The Intelligent Persons Guide to Fascism
Verbatim : The Best of Verbatim Quarterly (Linguistics Journal)
Pygmy - Chuck P
Stardust - Neil Gaiman
AG Florence : From Modernism to Fascism, A Study in Italian Art

he should have called it "fiction," no doubt. doesn't mean he's full of shit. He could be though; i haven't read it, so i wouldn't know. Still, truth and fiction are often combined, blurred, whatever, to make good stories, not just push books. No one dedicates themselves to writing to get rich.

i'm reading the Russian guy's Despair for fun and essays by Montaigne for a class.

most of u guys read all this hyped up pop shit... pull out a classic why dont you you brainwashed yanks... :D HAHAHAH

I just finished Michael Crichton's Pirate Latitudes and am now half way through Stieg Larsson's Girl With The Dragon Tattoo which I am absolutely loving.
