Started today a book called 'Backpacker'. It claims to be like 'The Beach' but true, I don't believe any of it, clearly fabricated story telling. It was only written 9 years ago but the author makes Goa and Thailand out to be like exotic destinations that have just been discovered by travellers.

Just finished 'To Hellholes and Back' by Chuck Thompson where he visits DR Congo, India, Mexico City and Disney Land. It was good until the Disney Land chapter.

To say its fucking Amazing might be the understatement of the century

Monty and my part in his victory by Spike Milligan.=D=D<3<3

I've also been loaned the new Dan Brown book but just haven't had the heart to start reading it yet, that and I'm scared I might damage it by drooling on it whilst falling asleep.8o

F.A. Hayek - The Road To Selfdom

The Road to Serfdom is a book written by Friedrich von Hayek (recipient of the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences in 1974) which transformed the landscape of political thought in the 20th century, shifting the terms of debate for millions of people across the political spectrum.[1][2] The Road to Serfdom is among the most influential and popular expositions of classical liberalism and libertarianism.

Recommended read for everyone here :)

I always start books, yet rarely finish them. This is one of those books I've started to read before. I seem to be getting into it a bit more than the previous time when I started it a few years back. I always seem to have a great understanding of his characters though, and love his attention to detail. I really enjoy his books to a certain degree, but the endings always go tits up. Generation X has to be my favourite novel of his though. That's one book I've read over and over. :)

Finished reading the Time Travellers Wife the other day - fucking WICKED book...couldn't put it down for the second half of the book. Took a while to get into.

Now onto reading Nabokov's "Lolita" - fuck me this is a twisted-ass novel... *shudders*

I've been reading Conciousness Explained by Daniel Dennett for ages now. It doesn't help that as I keep it in my jacket pocket I only read it on busses and in waiting rooms, but its almost certainly the most challenging book I've ever read before. Pretty enlightening/thought provoking nonetheless though.

Just finished Stieg Larsson's "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" and about to pick up his next one in the trilogy "The Girl Who Played With Fire.

They're crime novels, pretty gripping giving an interesting peep into the Swedish culture n' psyche. With twisted and horrific themes...

Highly recommended if you like that kinda thing :)
