Damn you Spade I've just finished a book buying spree and now I'm off to buy that Ruskie one :(:D

I'm reading loads at the moment, I have book ADD. Mostly into Outlaws of the Marsh and also some forensic thriller my Mum lent me that is strangely addictive.

Just ordered a couple of books by Jorge Borges after mooching about on wiki today and also 'Making Tracks' by Debbie Harry after seeing it on Amazon for a fiver when it's previously been closer to like 50 quid or so. Out of print, you seeee.

SHM, Catch 22 is one of my favourite books. I first read it when I was about 12 or 13 and obviously missed a fair bit and read it again a few years ago and loved it even more. Got a couple more of Heller's books including the sequel to Catch 22 but I'm yet to read 'em. Thinking of having a 'reading week' kinda thing where I ditch the 'net and just read through my backlog. Think it could be a good thing.

Erowid extracts november 2009 number 17, not technically a book, but thats what i'm reading, i love the extracts i have them all the way back to number 10
my favourite book of all time is House of Leaves, read a ton of times and always find something new in there!

Am Reading Twilight just now. Yeah, cliche but its actually good. Bought New Moon today as I'm sure to finish the first one quite soon.

Every single female backpacker in Australia is reading that!

Are they about 14?
Why would any adult read twilight?
I'm reading Goodfellas aka Wiseguy by Nicholas Pileggi. Same as the film, but different without the relentless soundtrack!

Monky you are certainly mailing up for lost time with all your posts today!
Currently I am reading the book that monky is producing on here!

It's a hell of a read. The main problem is I don't know whether it's fact or fiction. I hear there's a huge twist at the end involving a nuclear bomb, 12 shepherds, a Tetley tea bag and a squirel. Don't know any more than that though at the moment (although it has leaked onto the internet that the squirel is called Steve and the teabag has been used).

Just ordered a shitload of history books and older novels for Christmas, best get my reading week into action to catch up in time then!

Only just decided to take an interest in l'histoire again after failing spectacularly (well I got a D) at GCSE. I love the subject but I was also terminally lazy. Gonna raid Dad's bookshelves and see what he has too.

Finished "Sold Out" by Robert Llewellyn which I really enjoyed, although it's more a collection of thoughts and essay journal type writings across a year than a day by day, step by step guide of how he bought nothing for a year. It's more focused upon what his mind drifted towards and the thoughts that emmerged during this year, and it's really fucking funny and interesting at times. Would quite like to read " Thin He Was and Filthy-haired: Memoirs of a Bad Boy" by him, tis meant to be good.

Got "The Rebel" and "The Plague" to read by Camus, supposed to write an essay about him and his (lack of) philosophy. Might re-read "The Outsider" too cos it's short n well... great!

Still reading "Crash" by J.G. Ballard. Dark and awesome, I need to stick with it. Oh, also just started John Irving's "world according to Garp"

I am actually crap at sticking with books, always got too many on the go. Juggling man!

I'm currently re-reading the drug-maniac's sacred tome, Hunter S Thompson's "The Great Shark Hunt". Full of truly inspiring quotes from start to finish.

I'm about half way through the Biography part of PIHKAL - A Chemical Love Story by Alexander & Ann Shulgin.

It is a really interesting read and has opened my eyes to a lot of things. It is a recommended read even though it does look slightly intimidating, it is suprisingly easy to read and you'll fly through it. And then obviously there is the Second part of the book which is aimed towards the research chemist but from a quick glance, also looks like his personal views on the drug effects may be a good informative read too. I am looking forward to reading about hundreds of drugs that's names I can't even start to pronounce :D

After finishing Stalingrad (Antony Beever) i'm making my way through D-Day (Antony Beever) can't say it's as interesting as the battle of stalingrad but it keeps me occupied on the train to work.

I also sporadically pick up one of the Dune series to read. Well written books like this and lord of the rings you can start reading at any page and enjoy (if read before).

SHOCKING!

Am about 3/4s of the same book, they are very readable but damn Bella reminds me of my ex alot :p

TRYING to read "The Lost Symbol" by Dan Brown. I <3 his books, page turners. But with college text, I doubt it will happen. It would be SO SO nice to read something I WANT to!
