for anyone that wants to find out for themselves, PM me your address and i'll send you my copy for fuck all. if i can find it (which i should be able to, unlike my PASSPORT) :X

From the descriptions i've had (i accept character not the same) i just think of my passionate hatred for Napoleon Dynamite. God i hate that character, the film too.

Wow I was expecting a lecture or something from the JD Salinger appreciation society. Thank fuck it doesn't exist in here. You've restored my faith in EADD, thank you.

Mornin Fishy hows trix?

^ Good this morning thanks , slight after effects of drinking (like a fish ha ha ) but that apart alls good, hopes that you & missus are OK.

Had fun last night getting completely soaked looking for non existent field mushrooms and wearing idiot hats fashioned from plastic bags (the intended receptacles for the imaginary mushrooms) Laughed muchily and at length at ourselves.

Sounds good fun! :D

Had a night on me tod, as the missus was over minding her Dad after some hospital tests he'd had, so I took myself off on a little trip to the outer reaches of the Universe, as one does ;) - feeling a lot better for it, thank you, as is 'er indoors :)

^ Pleased to hear that :) We also attended the supermarket in aforementionded headgear causing looks of dismay and delight > I think delight won the day. Squelching means leaking boots doesn't it ?

If the squelching is coming from that region, I'd suggest so :\ - come down to Glastonbury and help yourself to a few thousand pairs from those left behind the other week :)

^ You got any quality footwear size eight knocking about ? Leather only and British produce of course, those conditions satisfied a stout pair of bootees would be acceptable, no need to clean them I can do that. :)

James Frey - "A Million Little Pieces"

Probably is a bit cliche sounding, but I am about half way through the book and I must admit that after looking past all of the controversy that was flying around everywhere concerning the imbelishment of facts within the "memoir", I find the story a very interesting and readable one - one that I am currently enjoying immensely.

At the time I purchased said book, I was in the Dallas airport and I ended up buying the sequel "My Friend Leonard" as well, which is next up to bat in my book lineup.

Does anyone out there have any suggestions for any other/better drug story books out there? I've never been much of a reader but I really want to start reading more as it calms my racing mind quite a bit. I'm going to use the ye olde search engine here in a moment, but I thought I'd throw it out there thus any direction would be appreciated, cheers!

I highly recommend Candy by Luke Davies. This is one of the BEST books on drugs (heroin addiction to be specific) that I have ever read. I've read my dog-eared copy several times and I am still shaken deeply by each re-reading. :)

I also highly recommend the non-fiction Cocaine: an Autobiography by Dominic Streatfield, by far, a most excellent tome on everything u could possibly ever want to know about Cocaine. Streatfield documents the decline of cocaine use in the early to mid 20th century, and tracks its subsequent rise on the heels of the blossoming drug culture of the 1960's. An excellent, excellent read.

^ I found it hard work. The 'protagonist' (as you so eruditely call him) is a fucking miserable git with no spark of fun in him. I just don't get those sort of people! Is there one scene (?) in the book where he's ever happy or laughs at anything other than anothers misfortune. Takes himself seriously doesn't he ?

^ Bundle of fun isn't he ?
Look I read it about a million years ago ! Aha Holden Caufield is the fuckers name (I think) it was really dull and boring. The only comparably boring book is "Keep the Aspidistra flying ~ George Orwell (money problems I'd guess)
