What Ayahuasca is and isn't!

~~~Definition of Ayahuasca~~~
Ayahuasca must contain Banisteriopsis caapi.
This is a false statement. Banisteriopsis inebrians, B.quitensis, B. muricata, B. martiniana var. laevis, among others (J.Ott, Pharmacotheon p. 207) are used in place or interchangeably with B. caapi. I'm sure there are many more too. I just found this info by skimming through the book for 5 minutes.
...if you are going to make these lists up, spend the extra couple hours time checking your "facts". Otherwise, you are doing the community a disservice by spreading false information. It might be a more useful discussion approach to phrase the thread topic something more along the lines of "Defining ayahuasca: a debate" and actually allowing it to be an open ended discussion moving towards the definition that for some reason you want to nail down. You'd probably have a better conversation with more involvement to the topic rather than to your posting style too. But I guess it boils down to this, do you want all the attention to be focused on YOU, or do you want to have a productive discourse that will remain in online for many years time that might help someone else in the future find the right path for his or herself? The manner in which you post (your style) is going to decide this question.
Ayahuasca is the most practical term for MAOI+DMT -- this dude is just a troll, as stated above.
Again this is incorrect among scientist, natives and everyone BUT the drug community who use it incorrectly.
The word is from Quechua... don't you think they know the meaning of their own words?
Excellent observation! I will change it to say Banisteriopsis species! Thanks for the good input!
didn't see your post V... i tend to skim on bluelight since their is often so much bullshit.
excellent post.
Shall I use the word "yage" instead?
Teo, man... I can tell you've had some significant psychedelic experiences in your life. I think it's sad though how much you have forgotten what they have to teach, and it's sad how far into your ego trip you are. Please analyze your behavior in this forum. Can't you see that your reason for the type of stuff you post is driven to bolster your ego? I really can't tell if you're just trolling this forum because you have nothing better to do and get off on pissing people off, or if you have a serious issue you need to deal with in order to help you understand that you're not, in fact, the shining example we should all be emulating.
You're lost, bud, one way or the other. :\ I hope you can find your way back.
This thread is enabling and it's dragging this place down. Teo, if you post this topic again you're going to be infracted. If I'm not mistaken this is at least the third time you've started this thread.
We close threads that degenerate into personal attacks, so that's what's happening.
