What are your reasons for using drugs?

because I put myself in the position where I need them in order to "live" a normal life.

bupe (suboxone) in order to kick my heroin problem; its something I got caught on because I wanted to test pain killers and that lead to what I just mentioned; so be careful all of you out there who honestly think its easy; its not.
seroquel to sleep; if not, I cant sleep. I abused benzos for years and years and would black out and sleep; now its not so easy, so i still take a scripted drug in order to sleep.
gabapentin I use to bed also; but I will also abuse it at times.

its sad cuz these are my SCRIPTED DRUGS; I still use drugs because w/o them I cannot get by in life. its just fucking sad.

You should really talk to your doctor about a better option for sleep. Quetiapine is not approved for use as a long-term sleep aid and carries a hefty load of side effects. I take it for management of mania and delusion, along with valproic acid, and it works great for that.

There have been deaths linked to long-term quetiapine usage. There are much safer alternatives, and I would exhaust those before continuing off-label usage of an atypical antipsychotic.

Have fun, be safe!

only taking 50-100MG at night; nothing major. been on it for about a year and read about all the negatives but it works great for me. I've been on many sleep aids but Seroquel works best. I understand this is not an actual sleep aid but works best for me.

Good to hear! I take 500mg throughout the day, so my risks are different than yours and I don't even get the benefit of drowsiness anymore. It does work well for psychiatric issues though. Glad you found something that works.

I have done shrooms and Molly and both times had a bad trip. What are the best conditions to do them under?

When i was a teen it was just to get fucked up. But one specific Acid trip changed all that and it made me look around at all the burnout jackass's around me that were completely and utterly apathetic about life, school and such. So needless to say i did not want to be like them in ANY way, so i created a rule for myself where i used drugs as almost a reward system. If i had a long day and i did all my school/book work and didn't blowoff work i would then relax have a couple drinks and smoke a few bowls and maaaaybe trip every couple months for the fuck of it.:D

They fascinate me. I have come to realize recently that I have a very weird obsession with mind-altering substances. I spend a LOT of time on this website and others like Erowid, constantly learning more and more everyday about all types of drugs. How they work, their method of action, the positive and negative changes that occur with the body and mind. How widely their effects vary. It's just intriguing. My main area of expertise would be psychedelics (they are by far my favorite), though my knowledge kind of stretches over the entire spectrum of drugs.
Yeah I started by reading things on erowid and I've been trying new things and enjoying them I guess it's like trying a new food to me

Mostly an interest in exploring altered consciousness. Seconded by boredom and some life problems when they're out of my control, but more boredom.

Main reason is to get high. #2 - pain relief #3 - to slow my mind down. I hate being sober. I always wonder what normal happy people feel like in their head.
