Lions mane+cordyceps.

Tyrosine is good but hits diminishing return pretty quickly imo it's only really any good for the odd day here or there.

Also some psychedelics. I'm a big fan of low dose acid for energy productivity and mood.

Thanks but it can’t be mind altering like low dose acid.

Also legal too is what I’m looking for.

Huperzine A, it is an Acelthylcholinesterase Inhibitor, meaining it will raise Acetylcholine levels.
Helps with focus and learning, will also acutely increase muscular strength so it's good before the gym too.

Effects of 250ug last about 8 hours for me, no crash, doesn't affect appetite, raise heart rate, blood pressure or suppress appetite.
Does not prevent sleep per se, but you might work/study more hours and that might affect sleep obviously.
Legal, sold as supplement.

Gotcha. You could still try the mushrooms then. I found them helpful and my sister claims lions mane straight up fixed her brain after years of depression and lethargy. Ymmv OC but worth a shot.
any recommended brands /suppliers?

I know with supplements it can make or break it depending on quality and Active compound concentration /stability etc

I'm in the UK so you'll probably want to find something local but I like vegishake for dried mushroom extracts and other supplements. The local health store stocks some tinctures I'm fond of but I forget the brand, I'll check next time I'm there. Bristol fungarium is another one which produces high quality ethanol extracts.

Edit: maybe try ginseng too. I think there's a reason they're always putting that in energy drinks.

Try reading this patent:

https://patents.google.com/patent/RU2438677

Afanasieva, O.G., Suslov, N.I. & Shilova, I.V. Psychostimulant and Nootropic Effect of Major and Trace Element Composition. Bull Exp Biol Med 154, 224–227 (2012). https://doi.org/10.1007/s10517-012-1918-y

The patent is in Russian and according to Google has no English counterpart : but Google patents can be can be in complete and ill search through some better channels to see if it was filed in an English speaking jurisdiction also. If not maybe a machine translation won’t butcher it too much m.

The second paper is interesting about those various salts. I’ll have to look at that more, thanks !

My translateur thought it was a piece of easy digestible Russian bits:

"The invention relates to medicine, specifically to clinical pharmacology, can be used for pharmacological correction of CNS diseases and concerns medicinal products with a psychostimulating effect obtained from inorganic (mineral) raw materials. The product with a psychostimulating effect contains magnesium sulfate, iron (II) sulfate, copper (II) sulfate and chromium (III) chloride. The psychostimulating product expands the arsenal of products with a psychostimulating effect, with an increased specific effect. 3 Table."

Skipped a part here and there.

"The stated problem is solved by using a composition with the following ratio, wt.%, as a means with a psycho-stimulating effect: magnesium sulfate 77.76835-50.22505, iron (II) sulfate 13.73-30.27, copper (II) sulfate 8.50-19.50 and chromium (III) chloride 0.00165-0.00495.
What is new is that for the first time a composition containing magnesium sulfate, iron (II) sulfate, copper (II) sulfate and chromium (III) chloride is used as a means with a psycho-stimulating effect.
In medicine, magnesium sulfate is used as a sedative, anticonvulsant, antispasmodic and laxative (in large doses), iron (II) sulfate - in the complex therapy of hypochromic (iron deficiency) anemia, copper (II) sulfate - an antiseptic, astringent and cauterizing agent (externally) and chromium (III) chloride are not used, although other salts (chromium picolinate and aspartate) are included in biologically active food supplements and vitamin-mineral complexes to enhance the lipolytic activity of blood serum [3]. There is no data in the literature on the use of magnesium sulfate, iron (II) sulfate, copper (II) sulfate and chromium (III) chloride as a means of psycho-stimulating action.
The ingredients and their ratios were selected experimentally. The use of magnesium sulfate, iron (II) sulfate, copper (II) sulfate and chromium (III) chloride for the proposed purpose became possible due to the experimental discovery of its new properties, namely the ability to normalize the functions of the central nervous system due to the psycho-stimulating effect."

Is this a breakthrough or was this already something they had noticed before ?
I am stunned knew MG- Sulfate was a anti-convulsant,
but when my ex got mega doses for pregnancy poisoning, she was far from sedated.
Real bizar read. Great find !
