What are you listening to? XXIX : Foolsgold, your audialgasms will never be forgotten

Music is so much a part of my life. You can remember the sounds and the smells and emotions associated with a song. The lyrics don't matter, the beat doesn't matter. It's how it moved you when you were alone.
Not every song hits you at the right time. Often there is only silence. And sometime it fits with no rhyme or reason. And most days you wish for the life of you that you couldn't remember the melancholy associated with a song you also hope you never forget how dark things can get.

Quebec was the first album I heard (besides Beavis & Butthead ripping the piss out of push the lil daisies).

Turned a dearly departed onto them as well. Favourite song H.I.V. guess who.

Lol, I remember one of my mates, a spider from Kilburn, freaking out in my pub over his unopened STD test results. He had been on a BIG booze bender, with occasional smokes of ice to keep going, for approximately 16 months - funded/enbaled by his girlfriend during which time he managed to have sex with just about every ice queen in Phnom Penh.

In the end I stuck on the H.I.V song at full volume and the whole bar chanted "AIDS,AIDS,AIDS, AIDS" at him until he opened the test results.

Turned out he just had a touch of Syphillis, no biggie%)

Right now listening to And you will know us by the trail of the dead. Supposed to be seeing them live right about now, but couldn't make it down to the city in time after work:|

Blacklisters - Downbeat

First heard this at Arctangent Festival a few years back where they opened with this, only just found the actual studio recording but it still sounds fresh. Not quite as badass recorded as it was live.... but I still love it.
