http://youtu.be/X3mBr_MOafU Pantera - Medicine Man

Many distant miles away
Past the shores of ever dark
There stays a magic man
Who bears an evil mark
He helps all concerned
Those who come again return
Injecting lies while fires burn
The devil's heart
With angel's words
Have you wondered
What heaven's like?
He can show you in one night
Overwhelming with euphoric lift
To lure you to steal your gift

Intoxication
Seeping down to the bone
And there's no question
Where you have to go

Understand just take his hand
He's the medicine man

Once proud and fearless men
With desire in their eyes
Lost strong and fruitful lives
To self-indulgent ties
Their souls were dipped in venom
And put into a box
Then placed upon a crowded shelf
Where countless souls now rot
Have you ever wondered what hell's like?
He can take you there
Just one taste and you'll be back
And by the high you'll swear

Intoxication
Seeping down to the bone
And there's no question
Where you have to go

Understand just take his hand

http://youtu.be/pRTUbvPj9Zw Bloody Sunday - Stiff Little Fingers

Take a look around you all is dead
A good look around makes me see red
What have they done to us?
Taken all our fun from us
We might as well just stay all day in bed

Of course we're right
You know we're right
It's worse than Monday
Yes of course we're right
You know we're right
Change from Monday
Yes of course we're right
And you know we're right
There's nothing to do on bloody Sunday

The truth of it all it's only face
A sadness to keep you in your place
Don't do this take no drink
Don't do that don't even think
But seven days a week
Let's pick over the traces

Of course we're right
You know we're right
It's worse than Monday
Yes of course we're right
You know we're right
Change on Monday
Yes of course we're right
And you know we're right
There's nothing to do on bloody Sunday

They say a day of rest
Ought to be Sunday best
But they do what they can
To make it Sunday worst
The week is weak enough
Even without a non-day first

Bloody Sunday

"They said no one could be more bizarre than Alice Cooper, or more destructive than Kiss... they have not seen the Sex Pistols. Tuesday night, Stone City Attractions presents live, the Sex Pistols. Banned in their own home country, England's Sex Pistols, denied admittance to the United States, the Sex Pistols bring the new wave to the Metroplex this Tuesday night, in the Longhorn Ballroom. They said it couldn't happen, but it happens Tuesday night: the Sex Pistols, live." - Radio promo

By this point in the tour, Sid Vicious, the least talented member of the band, was receiving most of the attention onstage. Other members of the band were getting fed up with his narcissistic attitude. Before the show, Steve threatened to punch him for focusing on himself and not the music. Sid hit the bottle hard before the show tonight. Being in Texas once again, he and Johnny found it appropriate to mock the "cowboys" in attendance. About half of the 1,800 in the crowd were fans, and the other half were country & western fans defending their territory against these British punks. There were also about 100 police on hand.
Tonight's performance was more of a circus than a rock show, a love-fest compared to the volatile San Antonio show. John wore an ugly pink shirt and a black glove for most of the show, while Steve wore all black, including boots, spurs, and a sheriff's star. With "Gimme a Fix" on his bare chest, Sid barely played his bass and seemed more interested in jumping around instead of performing music. Plastic cups and other assorted objects flew toward the stage for the duration of the performance. (No glass bottles were sold.) The show was all about spectacle; music was secondary.
At the end of "Holidays in the Sun," Sid got head-butted by a overzealous fan and received a bloody nose. Instead of wiping up the mess, he let the blood flow down his body, smearing it on his face and spitting it into the crowd. Johnny remarked, "Look at that... a living circus." During "Pretty Vacant," Sid took a broken bottle and vehemently carved his chest. Iggy would've been proud. He removed the pus-soaked bandage from his arm and threw it into the hapless crowd. The other band members continued the show. Although he contributed next to nothing musically, Sid knew he was stealing Johnny Rotten's limelight, which was more important to him at that point.
After a blistering version of "Anarchy in the U.S.A.," the band left the stage, and, surprisingly, the crowd yelled for more. As the band reappeared for an encore, Sid showed the audience an obscene gesture and Steve yelled, "You must be mad to want more of us!" In the middle of "No Fun," Steve confronted a heckler by throwing a couple punches and jabbing him with the headstock of his guitar.
The next morning, the Dallas newspaper read: "Most of the people last night came to see the people who came to see the Sex Pistols."

Longhorn Ballroom:

God Save the Queen

By this point, Sid's receiving most of the attention onstage. Other members of the band are getting fed up with his narcissistic attitude. Before the show, Steve threatens to punch him for focusing on himself and not the music.

I Wanna Be Me

Sid hits the bottle hard before the show. Being in Texas again, he and Johnny mock the "Cowboys" in attendance. About half of the 1,800 in the crowd are fans; the other half are Country & Western fans defending their territory against these British punks.

Seventeen

John wears an ugly pink shirt and black glove for most of the show, while Steve wears all black, including boots, spurs, and a Sheriff's star.

New York

Although he contributes nothing musically, Sid knows he's stealing Johnny's limelight, which is more important to him.

EMI

Bodies

Belsen Was a Gas

With "Gimme a Fix" on his bare chest, Sid barely played his bass and seemed more interested in jumping around instead of performing music. Plastic cups and other assorted objects flew toward the stage for the duration of the performance. (No glass bottles were sold.)

At the end of "Holidays in the Sun," Sid gets head-butted by an overzealous woman and receives a bloody nose. Instead of wiping up the mess, he lets the gore flow down his torso. After smearing it on his face, he spits into the crowd, yelling off-mic and over the din,

"All cowboys are queer!"

No Feelings

Johnny remarks, "Look at that... a living circus."

Problems

There are about 100 police on hand.

Pretty Vacant

During "Pretty Vacant," Sid takes a broken bottle and carves his chest. He removes the pus-soaked bandage from his arm and throws it into the crowd. The other band members continue the show. With his newly carved chest, Sid isn't playing bass as much as using it, while jumping around and staring, like the heroin-deprived, schnapps zombie he now is.

After a blistering version of "Anarchy in the U.S.A.," the band left the stage, and, surprisingly, the crowd yelled for more. As the band reappeared for an encore, Sid showed the audience an obscene gesture and Steve yelled,

"You must be mad to want more of us!"

What would Ozzy Osbourne‘s amazing solo career be without the many guitar heroes who have stood beside him for the past 30-plus years? Not much, unless he had his sights on playing music other than hard rock and metal, which is why we decided to pay some respect to the 10 six-string gods who exerted the greatest impact on Ozzy’s career.

10 Steve Vai

Though his superlative guitar skills never actually made it onto an Osbourne album, at one point, Steve Vai was virtually confirmed to succeed Zakk Wylde for 1995’s ‘Ozzmosis,’ LP. So while none of this came to pass and Vai’s involvement became limited to co-writing one song, ‘My Little Man,’ we are talking about Steve friggin’ Vai here!

9 Alex Skolnick

Another fleet-fingered guitar hero who almost landed the coveted Ozzy Osbourne band guitar slot in 1995 was former Testament phenom Alex Skolnick. But after auditioning and being told he “got the gig,” Skolnick played just one single U.K. concert with Ozzy in June of that year, before being told his services would, in fact, not be needed.

Jerry Cantrell

By 2005, Ozzy’s off-and-on relationship with Wylde was in the “off” position once again, as the latter focused on his Black Label Society. So when a multi-talented six stringer was required to help Osbourne record his star-studded covers album, ‘Under Cover,’ it was the Alice in Chains stalwart who helpfully stepped into the breach and got the job done.

7
Bernie Torme

Confusion and trauma ruled the Ozzy Osbourne camp in the immediate aftermath of Randy Rhoads’ tragic death, but such was the fledgling state of the singer’s solo career that the show simply had to go on, as they say. So in their rush to find a suitable replacement, Sharon and Ozzy quickly tapped Bernie Torme (who had worked with Ian Gillan) to fill the void on tour, even if only for a month.

6
Gus G

One of the Ozzy Osbourne band’s more surprising six-string recruits, Greek citizen Gus G (real name Kostas Karamitroudis) built his resume with a long string of European power metal bands, including Firewind, Dream Evil and Mystic Circle. And, since getting his invite to audition for Ozzy in 2009, he has proved himself a reliable and versatile contributor -- both on the road and on Ozzy's most recent studio solo album, 2010’s ‘Scream.’

https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=4wV5zg6v728

5
Brad Gillis

Back to the convoluted post-Rhoads period we go, and the guitarist who, with his blonde locks, California roots, and copious guitar talents, seemed like a perfect long-term replacement for Randy: Brad Gillis. But, after helping Ozzy to complete his remaining tour engagements and performing on 1982’s ‘Speak of the Devil’ live album, Gillis decided he’d be better off rejoining his promising original band, Night Ranger, instead.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=uABf6zvc8-w

4
Joe Holmes

Perhaps the most criminally under-appreciated guitarist ever to play in the Ozzy Osbourne band, Joe Holmes was an experienced veteran of Lizzy Borden and the David Lee Roth band, and a student of Randy Rhoads, to boot! But he seems to get very little respect despite competently replacing Zakk Wylde on many a tour, if not on record, as well as his lengthy term of faithful service -- five years -- to the Ozzman.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=Ok0f7Qr0A0Q

3
Jake E. Lee

Jake E. Lee parlayed his early experience with Mickey Rat (later Ratt) and Rough Cutt into a two-album stint with Ozzy’s band, contributing much of the songwriting and all of the fretboard fireworks that helped ‘Bark at the Moon’ and ‘The Ultimate Sin’ sell millions of copies. What’s more, perhaps no other guitarist managed to “escape” his time with the Osbournes as relatively unscathed as Lee, who went on to enjoy temporary success with Badlands before intentionally removing himself from the spotlight for many years until returning with recent project, Red Dragon Cartel.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=f5wbuhvTw2Y

2
Zakk Wylde

The long sought-after heir apparent to Randy Rhoads, the golden-haired, super-talented Zakk Wylde surely felt like a godsend to Ozzy and Sharon when they plucked him out of New Jersey obscurity in 1989. But Zakk quickly proved himself a more-than worthy successor, possessed of both the chops and on-stage charisma to break out on his own in due time (first with Pride & Glory, then with Black Label Society), while almost always answering Ozzy’s calls for help.

1
Randy Rhoads

And of course the most beloved Ozzy Osbourne guitarist is also the most pivotal musician he ever crossed paths with, Randy Rhoads. It’s no exaggeration to assert that Ozzy owes much of his career rebirth and subsequent success to the personal and creative relationship he established with Rhoads, after leaving Black Sabbath in the late-‘70s. That’s why each and every one of the very fine guitarists name-checked above can’t help but be compared to Randy’s groundbreaking talents and lingering legend. Such is the price of playing guitar in the Ozzy Osbourne band, but rarely is it not paid back in full, in one way or another, to those who have accepted the challenge.

After years of exploring, searching ourselves, and composing pieces here and there, we found ourselves with more questions than answers.
When we could not find these answers in the outside world, we were bound to turn inward. And so we went back to our roots.

This is something we wanted to do while we still have the chance. What cannot be explained in words to parents, we hope can be captured by these songs.

We hope that this album serves as a gift from child to parent. While everything else continues to change, this love remains a constant throughout time.
