Love that choppy snare stuff in old jungle records. Why don't folk do that anymore?

Been trying to catch up with drum and bass if it's even called that anymore? Is hard work I'll admit.

never heard that one before skyliner that is. its good darkcore jungle is the style of that one i have over 70 jungle tapes from 1994 most of them original boxsets i bought back then. ragga jungle..darkcore...hardcore.. was one of my favourite genres back then.
i keep the tapes in my living room next to my hifi and decks with the rest of my tape and vinyl collection. i like my tunes esp the 1989-1995 period

As for the jungle, I don't think the (new) DnB fanbase would truly appreciate the raw sounds of a good snare and kick, DnB seems slightly manufactured nowadays even though there are plenty of producers around who could bring back jungle in a big way. :/

Oh, awesome! Darkcore... never heard of that, could you recommend any tunes? Skyliner is truly special; I've yet to come across another atmospheric jungle tune with as much power as this one. Love it. <3

When i was 15 i got an 8 tape quest boxset of those mixes i live in ireland so i was never in wolverhampton.
Was in other uk citys visiting and stayed in yorkshire for a few months but never went clubbing much in the uk


Quest blew me away
 
Would love to go to the reunion even though i wasnt there in 1994 i know every inch of the 8 ninety minute tapes from that summer.
Do u have a link to the reunion gig mate?
