Just finished it. Pretty fucking great actually
I am currently reading 'The Martian' by Andy Weir which has been turned into the film starring Matt Damon. If the film lives up to the book then it should be a damn fine film.
Really pleased to of got this for Xmas. Looking forward to starting this tonight. Anyone read it?

Inflo put me onto Marshall Smith with Only Forward, I gave that book to my ex who also loved it. I suspect she bought this for herself but after I gave her a gift earlier she felt guilty. I could hear the frantic wrapping and sellotape![]()
Aye. Brilliant. Read it when it first came out (nearly 20 years ago). Wouldn't mind reading it again actually.
Up next on my reading list is the new David Mitchell book:
I have adored all of his other books so far, so I'm really looking forward to it. (Please note that this is not the David Mitchell from Peep Show; this is the guy that wrote "Cloud Atlas".)
Miss Peregrines's home for peculiar children - A mysterious island. An abandoned orphanage. A strange collection of curious photographs.
A horrific family tragedy sets sixteen-year-old Jacob journeying to a remote island off the coast of Wales, where he discovers the crumbling ruins of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. As Jacob explores its abandoned bedrooms and hallways, it becomes clear that the children were more than just peculiar. They may have been dangerous. They may have been quarantined on a deserted island for good reason. And somehow—impossible though it seems—they may still be alive.
I'm only a couple of chapter into it but pretty interesting so far![]()
