What are some tips for safer use of LSD?

What are some tips for safer use of LSD?

1. Use antipsychotics or benzos for bad trips.

Thanks.

Make sure it's LSD first. Take 1 hit to test, if its bitter then be prepared for a shitty trip and spit it out ASAP.

If you're going to drink milk, just make sure that your stomach feels 100%. Last time I did 2c-e I drank a glass of milk after coming home from a concert and ended up puking it right up. Anyone that has puked straight milk will tell you it's the single most disgusting experience they have encountered. it gets all curdled and just...EWW

As far as trip comfort foods go how could no one mention orange or other juicy varieties of fruit? any sweet candy is nice as well... on acid i normally have very little appetite, on mushrooms i wanted to wanted to eat so we ordered a pizza.... paying for pizza on mushrooms is an interesting task, you give the girl a $20 asking if she can make change, hands you $20 in change and the pizza and you give her a couple dollars for a tip before she walk off... by the time she was gone i realized i had 18 dollars in my hand... free large pizza. that's something that would only happen to me while tripping on something... pizza on mushrooms was tasty, but some people get stomach issues with mushrooms so it depends...

I love tripping with a large amount of oranges chilling in the fridge.... Strawberries would probably be good as well...

Another thing you can do with new trippers is keep a small amount of benzos around, or hell maybe even a vitamin and if your decent enough at acting and you probably wont have to be tell them its a Valium or something and tell them it will calm them down... People tripping are easily influenced by what they experience, the placebo effect is still very much there if not more prominent, if they believe it will calm them down it will probably do just that... like someone else said, they get a calming effect as soon as the benzos get in their mouth long before any drug effects could take place.

^Yes- one must retain the ability to at least make a cup of tea. My egoloss experiences are typified by an inability to do so...:)

lmfao...how could one even think of making tea...aside from thinking it in a random mind loop and then it disapears when you're THAT fucking deep... your comment just made me laugh fucking hard so don't take any of this seriously...plus i'm still buzzing from the DMT :)

let's see..

don't be left alone away from your home
don't dose in public unless you head straight to trip hq.. heh..
don't be alone in the woods at night
don't stray too far from food/water
alcohol makes for a confused trip - i have done strangely dumb things combining acid and beer..
do have weed with you!
don't take off all your clothes and run into the woods.. my friend did this..
don't dose if you feel completely heartbroken - makes for an uncomfortable trip..
don't let anyone play with weapons..
don't get too cold and not know it because you're numb feeling..
don't let anything bring you down!

For me I like to plan the trip ahead of time by about a week, and make sure for the days leading up I don't have any negative things happen that I would dwell on. Then of course having a nice comfortable trip environment so no unexpected short term things occur.

Do you guys recommend removing clocks and turning off phones? It can really induce a more interesting trip IMO, but can also add stress.

Let's see, safety tips for tripping on acid. Well, pretty much everything I have to offer has been mentioned already, but I will still make a small list.

- Keep some benzos on hand
- Don't drive or operate heavy machinery or weapons while tripping
- Be in a comfortable/safe environment
- Be with people you can trust and know rather well
- Find a reputable dealer who will always come through with pure psychedelics
- Buy any food/drinks/snacks you want before you start tripping
- Never do anything you don't feel comfortable doing
- Have music or other forms of media that can help if the trip starts going sour

That's about all I can think of right now. One thing that was mentioned that I am going to start doing is the thing about writing "I am on a substance and I know it will eventually wear off and I will return to sobriety," on a piece of paper and signing it. I think that is genius and I can't believe I didn't think of that yet. On my last trip, my girlfriend experienced a complete ego-loss and I think if we were to have done something like that it would have helped a lot!

The biggest help you can have is to have a sober sitter (sober in relative terms - sitters often just smoke and/or drink while the others trip). In addition to stepping in in those rare cases where a tripper actually does something dangerous or stupid (trying to fly, playing with knives, walking down stairs while oblivious to their surroundings, etc.), the primary task of the sitter is to deal with any other situations that come up during the trip - phone calls, knocks at the door, any task that requires going outside or interacting with people outside of the group. The most common sources of bad trips, in my experience, are having to deal with people who don't know you are tripping or having a normally trivial crisis you are unable to deal with effectively. A sober buddy nearby can easily solve such problems.

Aside from that, the common tricks to avoid negative thought loops (changing music/lighting/setting/activity/etc.) can prevent any potential problems. If you have a sitter and can avoid a 'bad trip,' you're pretty much home free.

Phones yes, clocks no. Seeing the time can help you ground yourself should you find yourself out of control. Digital clocks are best - I find I sometimes don't have the patience to read the hands of an analog one while tripping.
