stilnox is great. i know its a sleeping pill, but some people can hallucinate on it.

I've never heard of Stilnox, but zolpidem tartate is sold as Ambien in the US.
It can cause hallucinations and in the past I have said it wasn't very recreational. However since last week I have changed my mind. I took 15mgs for it's intended purpose of putting myself to sleep. The experience was both psychedelic and dissociative at once. Instead of feeling like I had just induced massive sleep deprivation as all my past experiences, this was truly enjoyable. I ended up staying awake for a little bit before it completely knocked me out having strange conversations with people and writing weird stuff like "The key to salvation is unlocked within my mind" and things of that nature.
It's not something I'd want to do regularly, though.
But tell me more on these "Benzos" everyones chatting about. I hope BENadryl isn't one of them. And I've been trying to get Xanax for the last month and just can't seem to get my hands on any. Thanks for all the input.
I'll list the 4 most commonly prescribed benzodiazepines with their common names and generic chemical names then run you through a basic overview.
Xanax - alpropalozam
Valium - diazepam
Klonopin (k-pins) - clonazepam
Ativan - lorazepam
Benzos are sedative-hypnotics and were designed to replace the barbiturates, qualudes and other downers of the past. They're safer and have less side-effects for the most part. They're less addictive and unlike many of their older predecessors, they're not nearly as easy to OD on.
They're most commonly prescribed as anti-anxiety medications. But they're also used as tranquilizers at higher doses. Klonopin is often prescribed as a sleeping medication. And it also has notable muscle-relaxing qualities and is also prescribed as a muscle-relaxer.
They all have their own unique qualities which makes them suitable for specific situations.
Xanax is short lasting but it's effects are noticeable within 15 minutes of ingestion. So it's well suited for someone that gets panic attacks in certain situations.
Klonopin and Ativan are both fairly similar. They take considerably more time than Xanax to work (30-60 minutes) and are both long lasting. They're used for people with general anxiety that need something to keep them calm all day. I believe Klonopin is a bit more effective than Ativan, but it's notorious for killing someone's memory while they're on it.
Valium is an older benzo and isn't too common anymore. Where other benzos work in doses from .25mgs to 5mgs, a starting dose of Valium is 5mgs and can easily go past 30mgs. It's often given to patients who are about to undergo surgery a day or two before the surgery to keep them calm and enable them to sleep at night. But it's also still used for people with anxiety as well, just not as frequently.
As far as recreation with benzos goes, they put you in an ultra-relaxed mood and give some mild euphoria. High doses will often kill your memory of being on them and a lot of times people won't remember half of what they did.
For most druggies, benzos are taken to come down off of stimulant type drugs like coke, meth and ecstasy.
Benzos are not the greatest things on earth by any means, though. They're alright, but nothing super exciting.
