So I've heard about maybe while it's growing to like, rip the ends of the leaves off, or to cut off the bottom branches, or to starve it of water while it is flowering, or to slice the buds when they start growing and it makes 2 buds or something?

Somebody please elaborate on some techniques to help grow/flower my plant well

Idk man all that stuff creates alot of stress on the plants.. if you know exactly what your doing i guess it would be cool but i think it should just grow naturaly. Ur supposed to cut the dead leaves on the bottom off. And i think what your talking about with slicing the buds is topping. when you pinch the main growth to produce two colas. but you do that in veg. not flower.

So if the bottom leaves are crumbly trim them. What is veg? Should I nip the end of the leaves off my plant? How can I transplant my plant from big bucket to dirt in my backyard? How long after my buds are flowering should I cut it? How can I tell when it's about to flower?

veg is wen the plants are growing. flowering is wen the plants start showing their sex and producing buds. just dig a hole in the ground and stick it in. but you might want to add some fresh soil to the ground before you plant it. when the plant is going to flower it will either show hairs-female. or sacks-male. kill the males. and you need to research trichomes to determine when you want to harvest your buds because everyone has their own prefernces on what type of high they want.

So I can make my plant better by killing it early or late? I'll have to research that, I do know abit about males growing seeds and females growing pistils, but I don't get it really. There are some parts with clusters of long very thin leaf's coming out on the top of the plant and some underneath almost like armpit hair lol.

How many weeks does it usually take for buds to start to produce and what is an average grow time? When is veg and when is flowering etc?? help pl;ease

most of the things you asked about aren't good ideas at all, the only one people do is trim the lowest growth that won't be getting good light through the canopy anyway. also, you may be able to get good advice here but it sounds like you'd probably like to browse around icmag.com or ask for tips there. good luck.

I only have this one plant, a seed my mom has had for nearly 10 years, I'm pretty sure it is a female.

So should I cut off the lower branches when it starts to become more hardy?

Also could somebody tell me when and what to do in the "flowering" and "vegetation" stages

Reading this now I'm guessing it's outdoor and in soil. Really you don't need to do any trimming or maintenance while it's growing in that case. Just make sure it has water, perhaps a bit of nutrients if it's not in rich soil. As for when it'll be ready it will be sometime in the fall so you have plenty of time - it doesn't matter when it started growing, it only becomes mature based on the number of hours the sun is up. Do a little bit of research with google or on a growing site over the summer and you'll be in fine shape to know when it's ready.

Oh alright thank you.
It has been getting plenty of hours of sun except there was a period of two days where it was rainy and then cloudy, then when the sun got to my plant again it was up and doing good.
It's in a big thing with pretty good soil, it is outdoors in my open backyard with plenty of sun. Here in Victoria, B.C. If any of you live here and know how it is.
I water it if it's dry, and I gave it fish fertilizer a couple of times.

haha thats what i was about to say. we would be here for over a year if we went back and forth answering all the questions that come along the road of cannabis cultivation my friend.

good luck with your plant! 10 year old seed huh? i would move her if its a her indoors and use as a mother. try reproducing seeds or keep taking clones so you dont lose the strain after harvest. haha that should get your mind racing!

icmag is all you need. There actually is too much info on there and it can be confusing to a newbie. So start in the basic growing threads and work up from there.
