What are "precipitated withdrawals " ?

Sorry if I got that terminology wrong...
I've never used sub or methadone and I'm not even sure if done causes this but I've read this term on this site before and have no idea what it is . I've never used opiates to kick opiates ....unless you include high doses of tramadol to get through some of the pain.
 
Thats when a stronger opiate removes the other opiate from your receptor. If the other drug us different ...like an antagonist at the mu receptor it will be like reversing the feel goodness if something like morphine or other opiates. If your using another opiate with a long half life like methadone then you want to wait until you are actually in the begining of withdrawls before dosing on the substitute. Its a science of titration. Percipitated just means to come about suddenly.
 
If you've been using heroin/oxy/something like that, make sure to wait at least 12-24 hours, before dosing suboxone/subutex. If you aren't already in withdrawal, you will be right away, if you take it too soon. I have it down to a science, if you wanna message me.
