Misc What antihistamine is safe to take during withdrawl or PAWS?

I’m 25 days out from kicking methadone. Still feeling a post acute withdrawl, typical light withdrawl symptoms.

I know that taking an antihistamine like diphenhydramine during opioid cessation brings a world of RLS hell

I have bad allergies right now, itchy nose and eyes. Normally diphenhydramine would do the trick but I can’t take it now

Any safe recommendations?

Doxylamine is a little more comfortable. Don't think any are unsafe

Hydroxyzine might be a good option though its prescription only IIRC

Chlorpheniramine! Or quercetin. It’s a natural polyphenol with potent antihistamine effects. I’d try both because I find the former is best for pruritus, while the latter is superior for any type of congestion.
