wellbutrin?

one of my friends was talking it up about how he gets fucked up on wellbutrin. Could wellbutrin be used recreationally or can I just assume that he's snorting up some nasty stuff? your thoughts please
 
no recreational value at all.. really none. your friend is just stupid. please tell him this.
 
Yeah, I don't know WHAT your friend is thinking...it is not possible to get 'high' of Wellbutrin...perhaps he has some other drug? Or else he just likes snorting stuff, even if it isn't recreational?
 
Have you ever smelled what wellbutrin smells like? It smells like raw ass thats been sitting in the sun. NO clue why, it's just got this reek you can get a whiff of when you open the script bottle.

Sniff it? Thats retarded. It's an SDRI, no fun at all.

I was on it for 1.5 years and no, you don't get high. You get normal. Thats the point. 8)
 
well now, u guys def know more than i do, :P, but

a lot of my friends used to blow wellbutrin.. run it under hot water to get the coating off, and then crush it up really fine and send it up ur nose

it hurts, yes, but after a pill or too, u get messssed up

from what theyve said, u feel euphoric in a weird way, your more alert, and ur quite happy..

ive done it once too. but i jus felt really weird...

id suggest finding a better drug, but if u have to. try it this way

ps (when i ate em.. it jus made me stretch a lot)
 
Have these friends of yours ever tried a real drug that gives you real euphoria? Do they even know what euphoria is? I've taken a friend's wellbutrin and I haven't felt a single thing.
 
Isn't wellbutrin a chem relative of diethylproprion (didrex, I think), a CIV diet drug? If it inhibits dopamine re-uptake, in theory, it could, at the high enough doses, cause some CNS stimulation. Or maybe I really don't know what I am talking about, and ppl need to stop snorting their AD's. However, we all know that certain non-scheduled meds can be abusable at the proper doses with the right body chemistry (Ultram, Soma), so maybe there is a bit of truth to "getting high" off of high doses of insuffalated wellbutrin (buproprion).
 
Some people also think they get high from smoking banana peels or romaine lettuce. Would you consider those 'recreational'?
 
It can be used recreationally*, but not by people who don't take it daily. You have to build a high enough blood concentration in order for the mood-enhancing effects. If you increase your dose suddenly while you're already plateau'd, you can get hallucinations. This is potentiated by sleep-deprivation, which most people wouldn't consider a "recreational pursuit." While taking this medicine, I cannot stay awake longer than about 36 hours.

It burns and tastes horribly for snorting, but I tried numbing myself with some coke to tolerate it. Bad idea. With the wellbutrin taken nasally with coke, I was sweating profusely, had a rapid heart beat, and thought I was gonna puke.

Either way, high doses of Wellbutrin are not something you want to fuck with considering the seizure risk.

thanks for the replies, I relayed the msg to my dumb friend. He still swears by it, though. whatever trips your trigger, i guess.
