My fault if this is in the wrong section :p
Today is my first day starting to become sober.. I haven't taken any opiates since yesterday at 2:00pm.. So i guess you could say ive been sober for a day. I woke up this morning and took about 2mg of Subs and have been productive since i havent WD yet and hopping ill be good as long as i take about 1mg of sub tonight in about 6 hours.

Just to let everyone know that are curious or concerned i been taking snorting about 3 to 6 30mg Oxy IRs, Fentanyl 1200mg (pops), and Opana 30mg Oxy ERs everyday for the past 8 months i have tried stopping in the past but now im really doing it for my self so i can get a job again and stop being a lazy ass snorting everything in site.

So wish me luck.. Any positive help would be helpful im doing this process with my Fiance so at least we have each other to support one another. :)

Hi there :) congratulations on deciding to stop using for yourself. That is a really big and important decision. That is really great that you have suboxone on hand to aid you. It really makes a huge difference with withdrawals. Please keep us updated! <3
 
Thanks for the positive input, So far today i only took about 3mg of Subs today and i been taking a few bong rips here and there but i haven't had and WDs yet.
I may take a xanny before bed but thats about it.. I been moving alot trying to keep myself busy.

What do you guys think? good plan?
 
Hey blasph3my, congratulations on making this decision! I wish you all the very best. There are a lot of people here in The Dark Side who have been through exactly what you're going through now, so please don't be afraid to reach out for help or advice. Keeping yourself busy is a great distraction method. How is your fiance doing? Be sure to keep us updated, take care <3
 
all the best! I know how scary it is to come off opiates- you deserve a lot of credit. Just keep it up!!!
 
Not sure if this will happen to you Op but when i did cold turkey at home with my then boyfriend, we got very very horny indeed!!!8o Slimy sweaty skin and all!!...I cant for the life of me remember why but it was def the withdrawals that made us feel this particular way!! All the best and im real glad you are not alone!

Haha I mean we do get some what horney but nothin crazy when we are trying to get sober.

Thanks to everyone again :) righy now I'm outside typing all this on my phone because its just beautiful outside and I had to roll a blunt ha. I just got up so I haven't taken any subs yet but this morning around 5am I took half a xanny bar because my legs were going nuts so I took that and went back to sleep. But I got up this morning rolled up a blunt right now I'm chilllin I may take 2mg of subs in abit.

Today is my fiances first day becoming sober so she's on the right track. Today I'm just thinking positive and trying to keep myself busy.

Lol - That isn't unusual! A HUGE percentage of people who stop opiates get extremely horny when w/d'ing, and sex can actually give you relief for a couple of mins during w/d due to the dopamine released. Only problem I have found is that I suffer from pretty annoying premature ejaculation due to everything being 1000 x more sensitive while going through w/d.. ( though I don't think I'm alone, think its pretty common.. )
 
My boyfriend and I are 10 days off our subs for 5months, and a 5yr romance/downhill slide w/smack and pills. Stay strong. It's no cake walk but totally achievable. Im looking forward to working too! And having a normal life WTF!?! Maybe not, but at least not chained to chemicals to function. Keep it up.

And yeah, sex can help a lot, if you can stand the physical contact. My skin gets super sensitive too, kinda kreepy/crawly sensations and my bf's libedo is is in full effect now. That's a good thing, except when he wakes me up in the middle of the night to screw, after I just finally fell asleep. Im like "don't touch me just stick it in" but yeah, it helps.

Congrats on getting so far 1SP, yeah it is indeed an extremely tough journey but if you put your mind to it you will eventually get a life back that you enjoy, and it always helps having a partner who is on the same wavelength as you in regards to getting your lives back, and having that support there for you when you really need it.. Having someone there for you, and being there for that special someone else, IMO is pretty crucial to getting sober, staying sober, and being happy with life without drugs. Obviously there's a shitload of other things you need to do to get clean and stay clean, but that's for a different conversation.
 
Sorry i have not posted in a while, So far my fiance and i have not touched opiates and have been clean, I haven't taken any subs in 2 days. We been doing good just chillin smokin the bud and relaxing tying to do something positive and trying to staying productive.

Since I'm happily single, when I WD either the first or second night I'll have about 3 wake up calls, if ya know what I mean. Opiates are the only drug to make me not care at all about sexual release, but take them out of the equation, and nature gives you a powerful reminder of what it is to be alive.

Good luck to you and your lady. In general, it seem like couples do well, at least IME.
 
Thanks alot! Im still doing good.. Opiates arent on my mind at all anymore and im just doing the right thing.

Withdrawls with me come at about one week..and where do you get all this medication?Must be nice.

Well the longer you do drugs the more people you meet = the more drugs/meds you can find.

edit: i am prescribed kpin and xanax so that helps :D
