So, I just started IV'ing dillys 4 days ago and I have done it everyday 3-4 times per... I get a pretty good rush off 4-5mg so Iv been sticking to that and I have had pretty good results (only missing once 2 days ago). Before this binge, I was taking 4mg/day of bupe for a while and stopped for a couple days so I could do this (I have never IVed before). Anyways, when I woke up today around 2pm, I did about 4mg and got a nice rush... then at 7 did another 4mg and got a nice rush and so on.... so heres the weird part.. Around midnight I attempted to do 4mg, I registered and it didnt burn or anything but I didnt feel any rush at all whatsoever and where I did it, the crook of elbow, was a little sore and so Im thinking I maybe missed because I felt a tiny tiny bit about 10 min later just like I did when I knew for a fact I missed a couple days ago. plus it still kind of hurts, but not the type of hurt that it should be. So I put hot compresses on that and so on and about 25 minutes ago, around 325am, I decided to do one last one before I goto bed. This time it was about 5mg.. I did everything and put it on my other arm, registered and I just got NO rush at all again. But this time, I know I didnt miss because i was careful and it doesnt hurt at all, theres no lumps, bruises or anything like that so I had to of got it in there right? How could I have not felt anything at all though? Was it because I didnt wait as long or what? Did the missed shot around 12am have anything to do with it? Its now about 4am and Im very very faintly feeling a little bit high but its nothing really, kind of a sedated feeling but that might be because Im getting tired too. Should I be worried or something? I just dont understand why this happened and its just very strange to me. Please let me know asap. Thanks.

I am a 40 yr old IV drug user, almost 20 years..it is very possible to miss in that erea and not know it...I have done this a few times, what happens is you push thru the vein and inject behind it and never know, its very common in the crook, as in the hand or arm you see or feel a lump where you missed. It seems like there is an erea in that spot where it distributes....I dont know from any medical standpoint, I can only tell you from my own expieriance, YES YOU CAN MISS AND NOT KNOW..your fine...you will feel the drug at some point, wont be as strong or intence as IV...be safe.

You may have missed the shot a little, but another explanation is that you were doing shots too often to get a rush. I know that some people only get rushes from shots done under certain circumstances. Like some people don't feel a rush off of their first shot of the day, and others get their best rush from the first shot of the day. It usually depends on if they did a shot the night before, and if they are in withdrawal when they do the shot.

I don't have any personal experience with this, but I've read a fair amount of posts on the topic. So whatever the circumstances were for the shot you took that didn't provide a rush, well if you figure it out then don't shoot up again under those circumstances.
