weird taste in mouth on all psychs?

So, i have noticed something very strange, its always happens when i take psychedelics, but, i just never noticed it before...

Well, everytime i dose, when i start to peak, i get a strange taste on my tongue.. a metallic like taste... Like, the taste of a battery being pressed against your tongue (the rectangle ones where u can put it to your tongue and feel the charge)...

The best way to describe this taste... Say the word "Zing", now, Thats the taste..

Does anyone else experience this?

Yeah I get this sometimes, not just with psyches but with some stimulants aswell... more so when sniffed

Probably excess ketones, as the body's metabolism is changed during the ingestion of psychedelics. I don't know much on this, but if someone would be so kind as to share more insight into ketone production and stress hormones with psychedelics this would be appreciated.

Its only during the intake of psychs tho, its effects diminish as effects of the drug diminish..

Perhaps, erm, i have Dysgeusia but it only shows itself when under the influence?

Maybe, just maybe, Its the starting point for synesthesia? My tongue getting ready to "taste the music"..? i doubt it, but hey, gotta look on the bright side

I get a strange metallic taste in my mouth on high dose DOC, never experienced it on any other psychedelic at any dose though.

I'd guess synesthesia or gustatory hallucinations. For a long time after i started tripping i felt as if everything i tried to drink while tripping had a hair in it... go figure.

I always felt this especially on mushrooms, I remember the last few times I shroomed I ate pineapple and the metallic taste stuck in my mouth forever. I just associate it with the state now and deal with it, ridiculously enhanced perceptions have a downside don't they?

This gets really bad for me on 2C-I when I smoke a bunch of JWH-018 sometimes, moreso than for any other psych.

whenever i dose 2ce now, even if i dose it orally, i always think that everything smells exactly like 2ce - very astringent and chemically, during the peak. weird shit, but it doesnt bother me too much.
